#3200640 I hate Seattle

Well I love you guys... Want a hug?? I might as well embrace the coffee sipping hippie bias. ;)

Great game Panthers. As always, classy board, and educated banter. We will see you next year. Probably twice. ;)

#3190967 Seahawks to make Russell Wilson highest-paid QB

What did we do with Marshawn Lynch and a good defense before Russell Wilson? Nothing.

Disrespectful to Marshawn Lynch? No way, I think he is a HUGE part of the offense. I'm just sick of people saying that Russell Wilson is a game manager and thats all he is. Same as you would be if someone said it about Cam, my only point is we wouldn't be where we were without Russell. I have waited my entire life and seen some shitty Seahawk teams, we finally have a quarterback that can win, we have a great defense, awesome running game and now we have a ring to show for it. My whole point is you can't have one without the other.

Jay Cutler v1.5?

Sorry if anyone said it already

Jay Cutler has all the weapons in the world, and can't make it work.

Russell has the worst offensive line in the league and a bunch of number three WRs

Yep. Solid comparison. haha

I can totally see how non-seahawk fans will laugh it up at this deal and think he's just a game manager. But watching every game in this guys career I think much differently. Without Russell Wilson, we would be a 9-11 win team at the most, and there is no way in hell we win a super bowl last year. If you really took the time to break down his film, it's easy to see he is much more than a game manager... Not saying he is the best QB in the league, but he's up there. He is worth a LOT more than Kaep, and his contract will show that.

So... where is all of this hospitality in the land of hipsters and starbucks?

The Seahawk fans on this board are way more respectful and insightful than the ones on Seahawks.net.

Not all of them are bad over there, but most of them would scold you if you told them the Panthers stood a chance.

To be fair, I live in the Northwest, most true Seahawk fans I know are very awesome and humble, just like the fans here. Any fan that has endured all the poo seasons that the Hawks have had have no right to be assholes. Sure, you can be confident, but you are mostly seeing a bunch of internet trolls that just want to be a dick. If you ever come to the land of starbucks, you will see we aren't that bad :)

#3189556 Nfl.com video: "Colin Kaepernick not an entirely different QB to Cam Newt...

Posted by Hawkfanadam on 09 January 2015 - 07:37 PM

Unfortunately if they got guys that understood a thing or two about football, they would be in too much agreement, I.e. Not good tv in their minds. Many of the times they tell the former players which side of the argument to be on so points and counterpoints can be made to satisfy fans of both teams that are being talked about. In the end it is click bait material, imho.

True, some ESPN personalities like Heath Evans said that they are handed talking points and most times, their opinions aren't even organically their own. Just appeals to the majority of the idiot fanbase.

If Cam Newton was a terrible quarterback that had zero pocket presence and only made plays when faced with horrid secondaries and no pass rush, sure they are the same guy....

Jesus. How do these people get paid to cover games?

I wish Seahawk fans on this board were douches. I like you guys too much. :)

Thanks dude!

Classy man, good to see you here over some others. Should be a great game regardless of the outcome.

For sure... Every fanbase has some shitty bandwagon fans... (well maybe minus the Browns and Jags), I mean hell, you guys deal with Saints fans... who are probably one of the worst out there (close second to the Niners), but any true Seahawk fan who have endured all the shitty seasons are usually pretty humble and logical. haha

Whats up huddle, Thought I would just drop by a line, it's been a while.

I have always liked the Panthers, and this board has always been filled with some awesome fans that can have logical debates and always welcomed me. Needless to say, I was pulling for the rematch in one facet or another.

I absolutely LOVE this matchup, I think it will lead to some fantastic football.

You guys have probably dissected this game every which way, so I won't get too deep into it, I just love how these are probably the last two teams out there (maybe arizona if they had a capable QB) that still have this type of defense among the "sling it all around" type offenses that are predominant in todays game.

I was talking to a Dallas fan earlier in the week, and they said how "boring" the Seahawks brand of football is, and I completely disagree. I absolutely think the style of which our teams play football, defense especially is the most pure form of the game we all know and love. I watched the last 4 games that the Panthers have played, and the way you guys impose your will on other teams is fantastic to watch.

You guys are confident, which you should be, your team is playing some great ball... I am totally getting my popcorn ready, as I think this game will hit the under 39.5 mark and be a 6 point game at the most... I think whoever wins this game will be the representative of the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Good luck gents... (Just not too much ;) )

#2651624 Brandin Cooks relishes Smitty Comparisons.

As a huge Beaver fan, I have watched Brandin Cooks since he was a freshman, the kid is a baller. Don't let the measurables distract you from his playmaking ability. The Panthers would be much improved with him, hell if the Seahawks don't resign Tate or Baldwin, I would LOVE him on the Hawks.

#2605413 Good luck to the Panthers!

Kick the poo out of the whiners, and lets have a rematch of 2005!! Should be a hell of a game! Us Hawks are pulling for ya!

Just got back from the game, ears still ringing. Hell of a game. Would LOVE to see the Panthers in the NFC Championship game for a 2005 rematch. Would be a hell of a game! Good luck the rest of the way gents.

Yep, Browner played his last game in Seattle... bummer, but they are deep enough to bounce back from it... As for Seattle being a stupid city, I strongly disagree, but to each his/her own. haha. As long as Seattle can nab the number one seed, they will be fine come playoff time.
