#3167579 Lindley starting

Posted by joemac on 01 January 2015 - 05:59 PM

They are also 11-5 for a reason, and it's not the qb carousel they've been riding all year. Teams with a pedestrian defense couldn't play in that division with a third string qb and make the playoffs. Can't put too much value in those rankings.

You are absolutely right, they are 11-5 for a reason. They started 9-1...the reason they are 11-5 is because they're on their 3rd string QB --Ryan Lindley. They just got lucky Palmer / Stanton held out long enough for them to clinch a spot early and limp into the playoffs.

It is not going to be pretty for the Cards on offense.

#3162089 Did you enjoy this years or last years Divison Championship more?

Posted by joemac on 29 December 2014 - 01:33 PM

It took an entire team effort this season...from the GM all the way thru the roster, everyone has turned it on something fierce the last month.

I'm more confident going into the playoffs this year at 7-8-1 and last year at 12-4. We are playing some really tough, inspired football right now.

#3149346 Rivera: "Learned from first Atlanta game to stay aggressive"

Posted by joemac on 22 December 2014 - 01:43 PM

I was doing family Xmas stuff and didn't get to see the game, but I saw that we started kneeling to run the clock down with like 2 minutes left on the 2 yard line instead of scoring. How does this fit in with the 'stay aggressive' philosophy?

Seriously? That's your example of them not staying aggressive? That's just fuging dumb. The Browns were out of time outs. The game was over. Kneel down is the only play in that situation. Why risk a turnover when all you have to do is kneel on the ball and win the game. Goddamn...

How is this a lost season? We're still seriously in the hunt for the division title.

Even if we don't make the playoffs I want us to finish strong with a 4 game winning streak and have a bunch of momentum going into next year.

#3127702 Johnny Manziel to Start This Week

Posted by joemac on 09 December 2014 - 05:28 PM

so was The Golden Calf of Bristol...or is your memory that short?

No my memory is just fine. If you seriously watched both their respective college careers and can say that are even on the same planet as passers then I really don't know what else to say.

The Golden Calf of Bristol wasn't half the passer Johnny is...come on now, give the guy a little credit. He was probably the greatest college player of all time.

Clausen looks as little like an NFL QB as you can possibly get. Looks more like the 16 year old kid that made my footlong meatball marinara at Subway today.
