The Bobby Bonilla contract story never gets old...

10 April 2015 - 08:00 AM

The New York Mets are paying one of the best pitchers in baseball less money this season than a guy who hasn't played in nearly 15 years.

Bobby Bonilla, 52, will collect $1.2 million this season from the Mets while ace Matt Harvey, 26, will earn just over $614,000.

Lawrence Tynes sues Bucs for $35M

07 April 2015 - 12:02 PM

Just some typical slow part of the off season MRSA lawsuit talk.....

Former kicker Lawrence Tynes filed a lawsuit against the Bucs claiming former Tampa Bay trainer Todd Toriscelli was the source of the MRSA infection that ended his NFL career in 2013.

*Updated with a new link that has more info*

Looks like it is $20M in future earnings and $15M in damages

Swimming with Jets

02 April 2015 - 11:58 AM

Someone tell Igo he needs to step up his game a bit.....

Daniel Botelho is a renowned marine photographer whose work has entailed swimming with great white sharks, ferocious Nile crocodiles, gigantic blue whales, and elusive narwhals in bone-numbing Arctic waters.

But photographing a model named Ane in the balmy Caribbean waters off St. Martin “was one the hardest assignments of my career,” he says. That’s because Botelho’s stunning “Swimming with Jets” series required stationing himself and Ane in such a manner as to feature her and the low-flying jets in symmetry.

Dear NC - PLEASE pass this law!

02 April 2015 - 08:19 AM

First, I am a Yankee transplant from NJ and I love it here in NC. I am not one of those Yankees that came down here wanting things to change because "That's the way we did it up North" but with that being said....the fact that there is nothing done about people driving slow in the left lane has always been maddening to me!!!

A new bill making its way through the North Carolina Senate would encourage those slow drivers to speed up, or move over.

The bill, sponsored by Senator Jeff Tarte, would fine drivers $200 for driving under the speed limit in the left hand lane.

Bieber Roast - Comedy Central

31 March 2015 - 08:15 AM

Anyone catch it last night?

Martha Stewart

Snoop Dogg

Hannibal Buress

Chris D'Elia

Natasha Leggero

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell)

Pete Davidson

and of course...Jeff Ross

Pretty sure it was an attempt by Justin's people to turn his image around. I'll give it to him, his speech at the end came off as genuine and he did a good job with it because he came off as likable.

Even though Kevin Hart has saturated the market being in everything recently, I think he killed it as the host and kept things going. There really isn't enough material on Justin if you ask me but overall it was was worth watching with some laugh out loud moments and in the middle of the pack on the list of Comedy Central roasts.

Just watching Snoop constantly getting high while sitting next to Martha Stewart made it entertaining along with seeing Dave Chappelle in attendance (although just in the audience). Not sure if that was the first time he was at Comedy Central event since departing or not.
