#3141248 Saints. Bears. Panthers. Cutler. Gruden. Delusions.

Posted by X-Clown on Yesterday, 11:09 PM

We know our team sucks. Yet we just beat the saints by 31 in their own house and have a shot to make the playoffs. Back to back division titles would not be a bad thing. If we played anyone other than arizona in the first round we probably lose by 3 TDs. What the fug do you care anyway? Is it some sort of jealousy that you guys always take our castoffs and they end up disappointing you?

And fug you for telling panther fans that rooting for cutler is soooo hard. We actually had to sit through a 16 game season with jimmy clausen, you will only have to subject yourselves to 2 games of that at least.

#3138635 Do you have any confidence in ATL to beat NO?

Posted by X-Clown on 16 December 2014 - 12:09 AM

And to answer the question, i thought before the game that atlanta was our best hope for a saints loss, and i still do. Look at how they hung with green bay, and look at how wretched the saints have been at home lately.

Johnny Manziel is a more agile version of Jimmy Clausen.

That settles it, I am now going to refer to Clausen as Jimmy Football

Reminds me of a real life version of the Chappelle Show skit

#3129197 I have officially lost all hope in my fellow Charlotteans

Many people are stupid. Those people call into radio shows.

Solution, don't listen to radio shows that are caller based. That is how stupid spreads.

Sadly it's just as bad or worse in any comments section of online articles (check PFT, espn or nfl.com). At least It's getting better on this board (although if we had been coming off of a blowout loss when Cam didn't play well, I bet it would be a different tone).

I think we should all take a drink everytime eddie lacy breaks a tackle, and finish whatever is in your glass/bottle/can for every TD he scores.

Prepare to call in sick tomorrow.

#3124610 We beat the Saints so bad they're blaming Gordell, the NFL, Las Vegas, an...

Posted by X-Clown on 08 December 2014 - 08:12 AM

I couldnt peel my eyes away from there. Theres a thread talking about how they miss Haroer and that he was the best safety on the field yesterday. They are already preparing for cap hell next year (brees is set to make 26 million). They want payton gone and have suggested that inside sources have said he is into drinking/partying. Jimmy graham is "soft" and they should have traded him before the season. Some are calling it the worst loss in saints history (of course most of those fans didnt know they existed before brees), almost all agree it was the worst loss in the payton/brees era. They think they are going to get pasted by the Bears.

#3123998 OMG Ron Dripping With Swag in Press Conference

Posted by X-Clown on 07 December 2014 - 08:44 PM

Ok, I still hate Ron and think hes awful and im in the fire him camp, but for my fellow conspiracy theorists out there, do you think Ron and the coaching staff seeing how bad the NFCs has been, has purposely been playing in pre season mode to not risk injuries and conserve energy then come December, go into beast mode and win the NFCs and now be at full health and full energy come the playoffs?!

Come on, lets get real here. A team doesnt go all season looking like the damn Jaguars and getting beat like a drum by the likes of the Vikings and Falcons, then out of nowhere go and beat the Saints in the dome 41-10 and literally look like a completely different team.

The playcalling, energy, tempo, schemes, EVERYTHING was completely different today. How in the hell does a team in a span of a season go from looking like the Jaguars to now out of nowhere looking like the Broncos

Your saints looked like crap today. Rob ryan just couldnt figure out mike shula.

#3123435 Saints top contender to field best defense in NFL this year!

Posted by X-Clown on 07 December 2014 - 05:30 PM

Nope.

270 yards rushing.

He had 83 of them and accounted for 4 TDs. He had a lot to do with the win, not sure why you would try to diminish his impact.

#3119314 Alas, it's my fault the Panthers suck ass the year

Posted by X-Clown on 05 December 2014 - 10:55 AM

The shine on your helmet has permanently blinded Byron Bell, Silatolu, and Nate Chandler, that's why they keep whiffing on blocks. Explains the Minnesota game and the blocked punts too. Thanks a lot for ruining our season.

#3118728 Cam is talking

Posted by X-Clown on 04 December 2014 - 04:58 PM

Cam is a lame duck and I feel sorry for those who don't see it. No way we sign him to a big contract here and no way he settles for a mediocre contract. I hope we atleast try and trade him, I'm thinking a 1st and 3rd round seems fair for him.

Shouldn't you be worried about who is going to be your team's new defensive coordinator next year and whether you're going to draft a new QB to replace Brees in a few years?

#3114380 Sporting News projects that Rivera will be fired on Black Monday (Dec 29)

Posted by X-Clown on 01 December 2014 - 08:51 PM

You compare Hurney's years to all other teams.....yes, he drafted well. Carolina fans dismiss his early picks. But he hit on nearly all of them....and you can't say that about most teams.

Luke
Newton
Stewart
Otah
Beason
Williams
Davis
Gross
Peppers

That is all first round picks.....which is arguably the best usage of first round selections in the NFL over that span.

So you can discredit Hurney and just look at his 2nd and 3rd rounders when Carolina hit it out of the park so consisant in round 1. Name 2 other teams that hit on the first round like that over that time span.

Hurney issue wasn't he drafted poorly......he gave horrible contracts and was overly loyal. Also was weak in FA.

Bad drafter? Nah. Too many other teams were actually bad at it. Yeah, he gambled some that blew up but again compare it overall to other teams.....drafting isn't what he did poorly. It was mostly everything else that came with the job

You left out everette brown who we had used a first rounder on. And looking at each pick individually is fine, but two running backs in 3 years? What about draft day trades for busts? Do those not count?

Considering we missed the playoffs in 7 out of his 10 full seasons, i would hope that selecting high picks would net better players. That said, look at the ravens (who mostly picked in the latter part of the draft)

Ed reed
Terrell suggs
Kyle boller
Mark clayton
Haloti ngata
Ben grubbs
Joe flacco
Jimmy smith

If you insist, i can find others but keep in mind you are not comparing apples to apples. Other than a few select GMs, most got fired for their busted picks, so does it really make sense to compare hurneys ten years with multiple GMs from some teams during that stretch?

Patriots were a much much much better team.

NYGs did however matchup well agaisnt that particular team.

Then they happened to catch breaks like Eli Manning breaking 76 tackles and throwing a Hail Mary on the same play that a random scrub catches one handed on his helmet. That is luck.

NYG model didn't builld a dominant franchise over the last decade. Rings imply a dominant franchise in that window.

Last team standing isn't always the best. That is why sports are so great. 2007 NYGs were not better than the 2007 Patriots. Any given Sunday.....saw it then.

You're really going to use the cop out that the Giants were "lucky" in their Super Bowl runs? You can pretty much pick and choose a "lucky" moment in the season for nearly every Super Bowl champion, including the Patriots who needed several lucky breaks to win their first Superbowl (tuck rule, the raiders ineptitude, vinatieri's multiple clutch kicks, beating a "better" St. Louis team) and their Second Super Bowl (John Kasay).

#3112328 Does Cam want to go?

Posted by X-Clown on 30 November 2014 - 08:23 PM

Cam should be gone. We should be using the rest of the season with our other QBs. Give them some experience. Cam has had his shot.

Yes, because derek anderson and joe webb "need the experience".
