#2573700 Browns To Fire Chudzinski [edit: he got dumped]

Posted by Brandon on 29 December 2013 - 08:08 PM

Browns....what a mess. No matter what you think of him, it is not fair to Chud.  I think we were all surprised he got an HC gig (count me among those who are grateful from a Panther perspective). But, geez...give the man a chance.

While it does seem fast to get rid of him, if what we are hearing is true this may be the better move for the organization. Sometimes a guy struggles because it's a new world to him and he needs to figure out how to be a head coach. Sometimes a guy struggles because he has a vision and it doesn't matter what other people think, he's going to do it regardless of the results. I think Chud is much more of the latter than the former, and he managed to make a lot of people upset in that locker room in a short period of time, just as he did here. He's a smart guy when it comes to football, but maybe not so much when it comes to people.

Dear Rodney Harrison,

I just fired off that bullet from the chamber just for you.

Sincerely,

I can't contain myself. Now to go out and celebrate!

That's one thing I really respect about this team. Short of a few individuals, they seem to be all class. They'll play hard and physical football but they also know when it stops being a game and it starts being real.

#2483246 Cam Newton on 3rd Down in 2nd Half

It really sucks that dropped passes count as incompletions and poor marks for the QB, without them Cam would have had 4-5 less incompletions in the game.

Who the hell was cutting all those onions in my living room?

#2465837 Why I love our defense.

Posted by Brandon on 04 November 2013 - 01:32 AM

Honestly, my favorite part is when Mitchell/Mikell swarmed Douglas after he tried to fug with Keek. Mad respect for who they know will be one of the GOAT.

They'll do it for anyone, this team fights for eachother.

#2454674 Pro Bowl voting is open

I know this sounds incredibly selfish but I almost don't want our guys voted into the probowl so that way their contracts stay cheaper.

#2449505 Cam Newton this season

Posted by Brandon on 25 October 2013 - 04:05 AM

Yeah but lets see how he does against winning teams. So far I will say he is doing great but not ready to say he has arrived.

So if he goes up against a winning team with a worse defense and does well that will change your mind?

To think we are getting so much production out of a guy who ended up as an UDFA. Between him and Lester I'm gaining a lot of faith in this secondary.

Cam is getting real good at putting a smile on my face each week.

#2413011 Byron Bell is the biggest piece of poo I've ever seen

Posted by Brandon on 06 October 2013 - 06:25 PM

Let's not go after Bell on Twitter, I don't want to be a part of that kind of fanbase. It's not his fault that he is asked to start games despite the fact he's clearly not cut out for it.

It's funny, back when I first started really paying attention to TD most of the people on this board were fed up with him and wanted him gone. I got quite a bit of shall we say negative attention for saying that he was a lot better than they were giving him credit for. Then he starts to break out in 07/08 and people start to warm up to him. Then after each of his injuries everyone wanted rid of him. He was washed up. Nobody could come back from those injuries. Waste of money. Now everyone is back to loving him for the special player he is. I know it's the nature of the internet and the fanbase but it's a shame that so many people were willing to give up on him. I'm really glad that Hurney didn't. For all the mistakes he had made, keeping TD around will never be one of them.
