#2960283 The Greg Hardy thread....for everything Hardy related

Posted by CarolinaSamurai on 17 September 2014 - 12:30 PM

just published by USATODAY:

former Panthers, Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Polian:

"The Hardy issue is very clear cut, (and) the league should act under the personal conduct policy. He's been found guilty"
...
"The fact of the matter is, he's been found guilty.
...
"You can make him inactive with pay for as long as you wish," Polian said (Hardy earned $770,000 for not playing last Sunday) ... Or the league could act under the personal conduct policy, which is the whole point of the conduct policy anyway."
...
"It would seem to me that's the principle course. That's why
that program is there."

The amount of misinformation the media is allowing boggles my mind!!!!!!!! Ugh and people think they can believe what there told by the "news" so they become infuriated by the misinformation they are fed! It's like a idiot loop that can't be broken.

#2960079 Panthers have signed rookie RB Lache Seastrunk to the practice squad.

Redskins replaced him with a nose tackle named Hebron Fangupo (love that name).

There is more than SI reporting this story. You're ignorant to believe so and just like most Panthers fans if this was a Saints player your tune would be much different. You're all too close to the story and do not even realize that most people do not give two shits about Greg Hardy and this case.

Most are caught up on Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, #FreeOurGirls, and looking for Chaundra Levy. Most people are idiots but that does not excuse that Greg Hardy needs help.

I'm not hip enough or cool enough to know what Jon Snow is, but you ruined any response I'd give you because of your picture of something really stupid and irrelevant - sorry I am just not hip enough, but how about you show pictures of the victim instead?

Your wrong. Period. I understand your confusion because the media has done a terrible job explaining NC law if not outright ignoring it. His situation is unique in that in the eyes of the law he is considered not guilty. Unlike other courts his appeal is not to refute his conviction. It is a whole new trial and the moment he got an appeal it's as if the bench trial never happened. Think of it this way, the bench trial NC uses funnels all misdemeanors to determine their validity before having to spend money on a jury trial.

I just wanted to say they used the entire screen during the game today. No blocked up add filled bs at all, it was beautiful. So all of us complaining before was either heard or we were worried for nothing. 😄

He WAS found guilty. Jesus.

But he appealed it.

http://nccriminallaw...unc.edu/?p=4288

He is not guilty in the eyes of the law it's as if the first trial never happened. Thank NC law for that weirdness but it's true.

I want my team to dominate on D and have a solid - great O.

This.....was very pervy sounding in my head.

I want my D to rush in and penetrate the line often then I want the O to be as big and long lasting as possible......

#2945868 False::::According to sources of WFNZ, Panthers considering. Cutting Hardy today

Posted by CarolinaSamurai on 12 September 2014 - 02:55 PM

It's pretty well established that they were in a physical relationship and he was supporting her financially. I think that's why his lawyer opted for the bench trial in the first place almost a de facto family court situation rather than treading water waiting for a jury trial first.

He didn't choose to. Someone needs to get on these radio stations and Explain NC misdemeanor law! No one knows what's going on.

#2945268 MSNBC Morning Joe: Hardy, Panthers and the War on Women

Posted by CarolinaSamurai on 12 September 2014 - 10:26 AM

See those uninformed with the NC justice system actually believe he was found guilty and chose a bench trail by choice and appealed. I can understand that line of reasoning but that's not the case here. If only someone with a law degree and understanding of the NC legal system for misdemeanor crimes was able to inform the media the truth. It's a shame these days reporters don't do their due diligence anymore and basically everyone of them are just editorial opinion mongers.
