#2914467 Is it still to early to be worried about Byron Bell?

Posted by CRA on Today, 08:02 AM

Bell is what he is....and what he has been. He will have games he looks serviceable.....and some where he looks like he shouldn't be on the field

#2914254 I'm officially on the Fozzy bandwagon.

Deangelo is not a power runner, running him up the gut with our OL is obviously not going to work a whole lot of the time.

We need him out in space, and he proved last year that when that happens he is still a threat to take it to the house.

He put up over 1,100 total yards and 4 touchdowns last season.

You mean if we do all the work for him and put him in a great scenario with space he can make a good play? Can't that be said for about 50 RBs?

If you gave touches to lots of average RBs.....they would have production too.

Williams can't create.

Yet Ginn may be on his way out of Arizona already.

Ginn was decent, but we've had such a terrible return game for so long that people have little standards for the position.

Ginn has always been a straight up legit returner.

Generally I think when it comes to the return game you either have it or you don't. Sitting him won't really do any good unless we plan on keeping him to contribute at WR possibly. Even when we signed Ginn there were a lot of people who didn't think he would contribute much.

IMO there are only maybe 2 or 3 guys out there worth even taking a look at right now.

People didn't think Ginn would contribute much as a WR

For the first time in years we went into that season with a solid returner

I thought Philly did fine tonight. Just bitching to bitch really.

Did a horrible job judging about every punt he could of had room to run

Dropped one and looked shaky catching others

We're gonna scraping the bottom of the barrel regardless.

If all we can hope for is a couple of guys who maybe did something several years ago then I'd just rather keep Brown or use Cason.

We might be scrapping the bottom of the barrel.....we need to. Philly is gonna hurt us.

We won last year.....not playing that type football

Why would you rather have Philly bobbling and misjudging punts over someone than can field them?

Well why don't you go ahead and list us off the guys who would be clear immediate upgrades for dirt cheap?

There will be someone that can field punts. Heck, we can't even worry about being a return threat....we need someone that can simply judge where a punt will land and catch it.

We need to address this...

If we don't....it is gonna cost us. It is a huge red flag that is gonna lead to some easy points for some opponent

#2912333 School me on Charles Godfrey and defense

That's pretty hypocritical when you want to scrap the keeping Godfrey plan they seem to have.

Not the same

We have seen Godfrey all preseason trying to comeback from his injury and earn a roster spot....and he doesn't look good

Haven't seen Harper

#2911684 Is Ron Rivera an NFL Top 10 Coach?

Riverboat might be a top 10 coach.

Ron? Ron had a lot of goofs. But that happens early on

COY or not....hasn't earned a spot yet

Godfrey has always been a reliable tackler, but has struggled in coverage. Then again, he has never operated behind a great front 7. I would have liked to see him at safety behind our defensive front.

Tackling is one of Godfrey's biggest weaknesses

#2911602 How do you think the rule change affects our D

Bigger issue for Seattle than anyone

#2910598 Well it's almost unanimous, Panthers will "free fall"

Posted by CRA on 26 August 2014 - 04:00 PM

Can't blame people for it.

We lost a pro bowl LT, all new WRs.....and our QB who masks all our issues has a bum foot and ribs

#2909699 Building the Perfect NFL QB: Cam has Adonis-like qualities

Posted by CRA on 25 August 2014 - 11:22 PM

Why would they want Colin Kaeprnick's chicken legs?

Speed/strength combo....with the emphasis on speed

A little surprised Alshon for the WRs. One season and suddenly he is the hands of the NFL?
