#1917672 How would you handle Cam?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 24 September 2012 - 08:29 AM

Cams's not looking at photos of the D bc he isn't provided with them.....and his OC doesn't talk to him during the game. But that is Cams's fault, right?

Cam has no D, no ST, and is asked to be the team since week 1 of his rookie season....but he should chew gum and clap bc he doesn't get any help rarely to win a ball game?

with the way Cam has played.....if he had a respectable D and coaching staff.....people would be all over his nuts bc he would be not just setting records but winning game after game. I will worry about his pouting when he has a team around him and the team isn't on his back......

If Carolina is going to ask him to be a one man show....then heck, he can act any way he wants

#1916848 Trade Talk?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 23 September 2012 - 04:35 PM

smh at the trade Beason talk...yea the Texans sure got the better end of trading Ryans away...he's having a very good year and proving it just takes a little time to get over that injury.

Texans finished with a top 5 D last year....currently #1 this year.

They saw no point sitting and waiting out the recovery of a risky option that night not ever get back to what he was....they opted instead of hoping for the best to just go out and make there D better.

Worked out great for Houston.

Beason could suck for years...before Carolina would address him.

#1916707 Trade Talk?

Disagree, CJ doesn't have the pretty stats, but he's been quite effective. Do we need more? Yep, but to say he hasn't been productive is incorrect.

CJ is paid to be a top DE in the league....he isn't that.

And I didn't say he wasn't productive....his paycheck demands he be one of the best 43 DEs in the league....which he isn't

#1916509 The Steve Smith can do no wrong talk is a bit much

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 23 September 2012 - 12:58 PM

Steve Smith did do some wrong. He had a false start that really killed the drive they were in.

And prevented us from answering the Giants opening score making it a 7-7 game......bc he didn't make a block he makes almost every week. DeAngelo had an easy TD.....Smith didn't make a fairly easy block.

What would you have had Smith say to media when asked about his sideline comments, CRA?

How about no comment? How about that was between us? How about handling it just like Gross said needs to be....how about just like Smitty was done by Prohel?

No reason for Smith to ramble on about men becoming boys, what he does with his son etc. Like I said, Gross and others took issue with it.....not just something CRA posted. Smith himself is too often child like to get on that soapbox.

#1916397 Cam segment coming up on ESPN

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 23 September 2012 - 11:53 AM

Does anyone else see the parallels between Cam Newton and Steamin WIllie Beamin from Any Given Sunday?

No.

I see a fanbase and city that fails to see our franchise is following the blueprint of how to ruin a young and talented player....

#1916144 I want to defend Joe Adams

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 23 September 2012 - 08:31 AM

Im not sure why they are asking for him to take the ball out of the end zone so deep but its not working. Also I have come to the fact we could have Hester and he still would be shitty with the crapy blocking we do.

Probably bc we have zero defense......and if ST doesn't give Cam something it is a repeat of last year. we go out every week asking a young QB to beat everyone......which is a touch task when teams are actually complete teams Lin all 3 phases.

#1915421 This Coaching Staff is Babying Newton

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 22 September 2012 - 01:02 PM

Somebody has to tell it like it is. They need to let this guy run a full pro offense. Let him take his lumps and grow as a QB. Let running be his last option, not one of the first. All these option plays and designed runs makes me sick. Does it work sometimes, yeah. However you see what happens when we go against a real defense. We get shut down. I'm okay with using them every blue moon, but if I want to see them as our main offense, I'll look at college football. If I want to see a wishbone offense, I'll go look at Georgia Tech. This is the NFL, where every play is dissected a billion times over by grown men.

Let this guy run the full offense, let him run it like Anderson would run it. Let him identify coverage and call plays. Let him do the whole bit. Or else he will be like Vick, taking 10+ years learning how to be a QB. And by then, he will be playing for another team.

If Newton is used as a run as a last option QB.....you simply aren't going to maximize his potential in this league.

Newton is a physical mismatch the likes of which this league has NEVER seen.....and gameplanning for that doesn't change that fact. Not using it to your advantage is silly.

Nothing supports ant weak comparison to Vick

#1915066 The Panther Rule of opposites

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 22 September 2012 - 08:04 AM

2010 - Heading into the season....offense will be solid enough, look at his we finished 2009.... All we need is the D not to suck.

Reality - D was impressive and inspired. O was worst in NFL history

2011 - Okay, we have D. All we need is the O not to suck.

Reality - D was a train wreck and O was potentially best in franchise history

2012 - We will curb stomp people with our O and our D will be night and day better.

Reality, D is a joke. O can't get going.

Okay, NEXT preseason, can we all agree we will suck on both sides....so we can be good?

#1913771 Breaking down why our defense is bad

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 21 September 2012 - 01:12 PM

Thats not really true. The scheme is supposed to get the players in the right position so they can make plays. If your not in the right position and the offense knows whats coming then I dont care if you have the 85 Bears D, its not going to work.

Schemes don't work at this level without the talent.

You think the Giants can run their scheme with our defensive roster?

There isn't a scheme we can install to work around being weak at both DL and the secondary....

#1913687 So this is The Cam Apologists board?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 21 September 2012 - 12:48 PM

I don't get wht Cam isn't better.....

He has been given utter poo for a defense, ST shoots the team in the foot......and all that has been consistant since his debut. Why can't a green QB put an offense on his back and an entire team and whoop people. How much help do we have to give the guy.....all we ask is for him to esstenailly be is a one man team. What is so hard about that? Why can't Newton Newton with spotty coaching defeat well coached teams by himself?

......that essentially, big picture, is what Carolina has asked this far of Newton. That is also the model to a T of how you ruin players. Problem isn't the young QB. Problem is since week 1 last year, he has never been allowed to be a young QB

"Well, we didn't execute"

" Well the good news is those things are correctable. and we will correct them. This is a young ball team and we are going to get better, I can assure you"

turns out, he is like Fox after all.....Fox was just simpler with his repeated bull

#1913030 Here's why we are bad...Take a look

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 21 September 2012 - 09:45 AM

Cam did the Superman when the game was within 2 scores....with a quarter and a half left. Bigger issues than that

#1912557 The Panther Offense: A Double-Edge Sword

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 21 September 2012 - 06:39 AM

Ok, let's pretend that your theory is correct. That with JStew this is THE offense but without him, it aint. Why the hell would you build an offense so reliant on one player? And a player that plays in an oft injured position?

Just doesnt make sense.

I'm not against using the the read option... I'm just against using it so much.

Surely there has to be other things we can do well.

Stewart is simply required for Chud to run his college scheme.....Chud doesn't HAVE to run it. He shouldn't be running the Stewart offense without Stewart. Dumb.

#1912220 If JR gave me the power

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 21 September 2012 - 12:27 AM

I would make these moves effectively immediately.

1 - Luke is the MLB. We will take the rookie lumps that go with it. Beason isn't ready.

2 - Martin is the FS

3 - increase TDs workload. Have him and Beason split reps at WLB. Beason needs a recovery year and TD doesn't need fulltime reps.

4. Force Chud to call a traditional offense. Only allow him to use the read option with a healthy backfield and the offense is alive and working.

5. Increase Frank Alexander's reps on 3rd down

6. Joe Adams off KOs. He can return punts...for now. One more fumble and he backs up Armanti.

7. Piggy gets benched once Pollack is healthy. But I give serious practice reps to look at Bell at RG with Campbell at RT.
