#3041059 Looking back, how did we manage to hold Detroit to just 7 points?

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 25 October 2014 - 02:11 PM

Detriot actually looked good the first half. Points just didn't come from it. Golden Tate was abusing us.

2nd half they quit doing what worked and just forced it to the one guy we were doubling

#3040406 Josh Norman to start vs. Seattle

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 24 October 2014 - 06:59 PM

we need the josh norman from the 13 preseason , he has the talent to be better then richard sherman and i believe he is better then sherman , norman has good size , fast as hell and great instincts , it should be him and melvin but an odd feeling is that there going to start cason which is garbage

You believe Josh Norman is better than Richard Sherman????!?!?!!!??!!!

#3040393 Cam and Russell pressure stats this season: the raw numbers

Posted by DeAngelo's #1 Fan(CRA) on 24 October 2014 - 06:41 PM

Almost no one on this forum will admit it, but Carolina's offensive line has been average in pass protection. There are quite a number of teams with worse pass blocking. My God, have none of you seen a Jags game this year, for instance???

In terms of run-blocking, the Panthers are definitely below average, but since the running backs have been so banged up it is really hard to judge where they actually stand.

Gettleman has put together a serviceable offensive line while spending very, very little money.

Many people will never admit that this O-line is not the dumpster fire so many claim it to be...

It's too easy of a scapegoat.

it is "serviceable" only bc Cam is Cam.

How many plays do OTs get literally blown up off the bat and Cam survives.....other QBs wouldn't.

We literally have no rush attack bc of them....that isn't "servicable".

CJ would be 14M in dead money next year if cut.

Olsen has always had good production. Ginn is having a great year with Arizona. He did not revive Smith's career. Smith is on track to double is production in Baltimore compared to last year.

Olsen has never had the production he does now with Cam

89 did have a revival in 2011. 2013 he was asked by the OC to be a much different WR.

Ginn isn't having a great year. He has 4 catches for 50 yards. Cam got him paid....sucked before and now

Now Kelvin is doing what rookies aren't suppose to do

That is what I have been preaching in regards to us suddenly being bad vs the run. We play solid all around against the run most of a game and then one of our stud LBs plays one run horribly and it goes for 60.

Then for some reason people talk about Hardy or Star or someone else....

Hardy has something to do with our pass D. Run D is largely our LBs screwing us not playing basic football they did all season last year. Between the tackle runs both Luke and TD have been inconstent with playing their gaps soundly and tackling

Starbucks sucks in suckers of every race. I'm a full on redneck and spent years making fun of Starbucks and the people that go to Starbucks......now i find myself in their grasp, and going to Starbucks three times a week...............making fun of people that don't go to Starbucks. :(

Dunkin Donuts has better coffee

He got beat by a superior athlete. We all know that happens. You could pick plays of everyone on offense and defense looking that bad. Cam ran to his blindside into a sack on like the 2nd drive. There isn't a gif in the world that can tell us something we don't already know about Byron.

That wasn't superior athleticism....that was a LB bull rushing our LT like he was a 4 yr old girl.

Everything you just said is not a RW problem. It's a media problem

It is a problem where the creation starts in the media.....but those do become player problems. Perception matters and impacts things.

Hell, every team in the NFL would love to have a guy like The Golden Calf of Bristol on their roster doing something. Media created a problem so big for The Golden Calf of Bristol he can't make a practice squad if he wanted. That isn't apples to apples but it is different example of how powerful the media can be in today's world.

I wouldn't want to play with an RGIII or Wilson type dude even in high school.....I would be like why the heck does everyone think he is awesome when we are winning off the work of everyone else masking his flaws. Glory boy game managers IMO.

Cam and Luke from their rookie seasons were asked to make tougher throws and do more IMO

Harvin is fuging insane.

How anybody cannot like RW as a person is beyond me.

I don't know about that....

I could see how players could get annoyed with Russell Wilson as he is praised as a savior and what makes them great....yet has some clear holes to his game that the media ignores and Sea does its best to hide with there offense.

I think Wilson is overrated. I think the NFL media thinks he is totally awesome. I think that in itself can create issues

Then the "not black enough" 3rd grade stuff plays off of the real issue.

Harvin is a punk. The fact they were worried about everyone else means there must be some actual issue people were worried about catching on.

Is there an offensive philosophy that works with our current roster? We do not appear to be signing new offensive weapons, so what can we do with the roster we have?

What would you do? Overload one side and have Cam roll the other way? No-huddle hurry-up? Quick outs and drag routes? If you were given this roster, what kind of play calling are you installing in your base offense?

Only two things works. Elite D. More elite than ours last season paired with our current O or

It is called....Cam save us and try to be a one man wrecking crew. This also requires prayer too.

There is no magic formula where you add bad OL play, no traditional rush attack, and no WRs to stretch the field that = successful offense.

Cam dropping back every play and pulling off magic is our only shot if our D is gonna be giving up 30

This i actually like. He's stellar in regards to ball security and seems to have excellent hands. I don't expect him to score TDs in the return game, but the likelihood of him fumbling a punt are slim to none.

He could be a Mark Jones type guy for us. Safe and consistent. Not ideal but much needed when you have issues at the spot

Hardy played week one without suspension while Rice was the guy suspended two games. How did Hardy all of a sudden become Ray Rice. Media? If you run your team for the national media the Panthers will cease to be relevant. They never loved us and never will so why try to win some PR contest. Your fans and your team want you to win football games, championships. We don't care if the NFL loves us or ESPN loves us. We want to kick ass!

A player gets in a fight with his ex girl. Why let the media spin it into something else. This wasn't Ray Rice. If it's Goodell I'd be mad at the NFL for this if it's Jerry I'd once again ask him will a choir ever win a SuperBowl? Just my opinion: if another team would hire Hardy you'd be foolish to let go of a franchise player for a argument with a girl.

Once the elevator footage was released.....Hardy became that same guy in the video in the public's mind. Doesn't matter his charge didn't fit that type of abuse....public/media opinion is what it is. THAT is what we had to deal with.

Elevator footage doesn't exist? Hardy is still playing

We should boycott to get Greg Hardy back. I wonder if everyone came together and actually did something about the situation, maybe just maybe we could get Hardy back. It seems thats the only way we will see greg back in a panthers uniform anytime soon maybe at all.

If Hardy is innocent....I doubt HE comes back. Not that we wouldn't want him. He isn't postioning himself to be ready IMO.

if the media created outrage in regards to Hope Solo then US Soccer wouldn't have it so easy. She is nuts too which would make it hard on them. No one gives a poo about women's soccer.

It is the media that got Hardy on this exempt list and off the field. Nothing more. Tons of guys have played with worse charges. Time changes though.
