In an hour and a half It'll be a full week for me.

Trust me guys this is a long journey. Like I mentioned earlier I made it 3 weeks a couple months back and caved when the stress reached a boiling point (lost $2300 over some b.s. at work).

Just don't ever cave and say I am having just 1. (Remember you never want to go through this torturous detox again!!)

Remember those things stink to hell to non-smokers which you will soon find out if you haven't already.

Stay strong and keep a pack of gum handy for the next couple weeks.

#2243372 Springfield/Simpsons replica theme park planned

Posted by panther4life on 27 May 2013 - 10:29 AM

Awesome.

“The expansive, new area within Universal Studios will be anchored by the mega-attraction, The Simpsons Ride, and will allow guests to enter the world of The Simpsons like never before,” a press release from Universal Studios Orlando said on Thursday. “It will be the only place in the world where guests can walk the streets of Springfield.”

Along with being able to walk around the hometown of America’s favorite animated family, guests will also be able to drink actual Duff Beer at the Duff Brewery (exclusively served at the park), eat donuts at Lard Lad (Mmm, donuts), and ride on the expansion’s newest attraction “Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl” based around the show's outer space duo.

There will also be shops, new characters and iconic Springfield landmarks such as the statue of Jebediah Springfield, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon’s Kwik-E-Mart and the Comic Book Guy’s comic book store, The Android’s Dungeon from the popular series.

“For the first time ever – anywhere – fans will be able to walk down Fast Food Boulevard and visit the places that helped Springfield stake its claim as ‘Shelbyville by the Sea,” the press release also went on to say. “They will be able to grab a Krusty-certified meat sandwich at Krusty Burger, ****** the catch of the day at the Frying Dutchman… and imbibe at Moe’s Tavern.”

Universal Studios Orlando has shown that it knows how to create a fictional world at its theme park as it has done with its popular The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so "Simpsons" fans should look forward to visiting “the Krustyest place on earth." However, if you do go just remember that you parked the car in the "Itchy Lot."

#2241353 How ugly is this forum

It's fugly but I can't stay out of it. The Charlotte Hornets were my nba version of the panthers and I feel obligated to come back just because of the name change as dumb as that sounds.

#2241334 Quitting Smoking tomorrow after 6 years.

Posted by panther4life on 23 May 2013 - 09:02 PM

I smoked for many years, yep I was with that cool crowd in middle school smoking cigs. Anyway I recently quit cold turkey( Easter Sunday). I got super stressed over some bullshit at work and didn't wanna be a bum so I went and bought a pack after not smoking for 3 weeks.. Dropped them again about 75 hours ago cold turkey.

I chew gum now when I get the urge to have one. I also like the verbiage " I don't smoke" vs "I can't have a smoke".

Anyway after 3 days the physical is gone and should be less for you since you we're down to 1 anyway.

You will eventually have a stressful moment in your life where your natural reaction to it will be to oh poo I need to smoke a cig. Fug that noise! Don't cave under those circumstances and you'll make it. Learn to deal with stress and other triggering situations without a cig, hard to do but not impossible if your determined.

#2236651 Quick Question: I Heart Radio or Pandora?

Posted by panther4life on 19 May 2013 - 07:17 PM

I have never used anything but pandora. I did a quick google search to see the difference between the 2. Came across one I never heard of called "rdio" that looks cool too.

Can anyone tell me the major differences between Spotify, rdio, and pandora?

#2232522 Deangelo Williams Restructures Contract

Posted by panther4life on 15 May 2013 - 10:51 AM

Now that Williams has restructured, does that make his original 5-year deal Hurney made look good?  What I mean is, was this Hurney's goal all along...sign the player to a big contract with the hopes of restructuring down the line?  Or was Hurney just a derp-de-derp and Gettleman is just cleaning up the mess.

Very well could have been in the card's. It was his specialty after all. Good luck of convincing the huddle of that tho.

#2222313 Would You Trade A 1st Rounder For Victor Cruz?

Posted by panther4life on 04 May 2013 - 11:13 AM

I would, because it would become a late 1st. The trickery is affording him/ willing to pay more than the Giants would to keep him. As they can match any offer we make.

But yes I would do it.

#2209557 Trading Down in the second.

Posted by panther4life on 26 April 2013 - 07:48 AM

No we aren't, there are plenty of starting caliber players left in this Draft. You take Hunter/Wheaton/Allen in the second, and Sharmarko Thomas/Shawn Williams in the fourth and you've got three starters....

There could not possibly be a better result to this draft IMO if we came out of it with Star,Allen and Shamarko.

#2206689 bookmark this site (for full game cut ups of prospects)

Posted by panther4life on 25 April 2013 - 10:22 AM

http://draftbreakdow...category/videos

They have game cut ups which are a fast forwarded version of a game to show every snap the prospect was involved in that you are researching. Much more useful than only looking at highlights.

Also you can generally go to youtube and type in "prospects name vs" and it will bring up many of these as well.
