#2664671 Bill Voth claims Jordan Gross is done

Anthony Collins LT for the Bengals is a Free Agent. He played pretty well once he was inserted as a starter. He probably wont command the money that Jared Veldheer or Brandon Albert will command.

#2121088 Jonathan Cyprien, SS - FIU, making a push for the second round

Posted by CaliPanthers on 01 February 2013 - 03:37 PM

Yea I think he has risen to the point that we would have to spend a 2nd round pick on him and I think we can get better value out of drafting a safety in the 4th or 5th round.

He was really impressive at the senior bowl. Took good angles on tackles, showed some coverage skills and was said to be one of the leaders throughout the week at the senior bowl.

From the clips ive seen of him on youtube, he plays close to the line and does a great job at it. Very good against the run. Very intriguing prospect, definitely a possibility.

#1700958 Panthers Are Listening To Offer For J-Stew

Posted by CaliPanthers on 23 March 2012 - 02:59 PM

All Im gonna say is, trading Stewart would be horrible for this team. He is the best RB on the team, he is young and will thrive as a lead back in this league.

Reggie Smith S - 6’1 200lbs - 25 years old - former team San Francisco 49ers
* Reggie Smith is under the radar but is very talented. Smith played cornerback and some safety in college at Oklahoma but has converted to the safety position since being in the NFL. He would provide the Panthers with a playmaker in the secondary. Someone that will come in and compete for the starting free safety position from day one. Still very young, Smith has the NFL experience to provide help immediately and grow with this young core.

Tavares Gooden LB - 6’1 242lbs - 27 years old - former team San Fancisco 49ers
* Tavares Gooden will provide this team with great depth at the linebacker position. Gooden is versatile and can play inside and outside. He is a former teammate of Jon Beason at the University of Miami.

Paul Oliver S - 5’11 210lbs - 27 years old - former team San Diego Chargers/New Orleans Saints

#1646682 The Weakside Linebacker postion thread

Posted by CaliPanthers on 08 February 2012 - 11:04 AM

There are some solid LB on the FA market that we could sign for pretty cheap.

Two guys I like are Rocky McIntosh or Tavares Gooden. Both teammates of Beason at the U. Both can backup at either OLB or MLB.

Id also draft an OLB in the late rounds like people are talking about. Another guy I like is Danny Trevathan LB from Kentucky.
