#3330987 Shaq Thompson?

Posted by micnificent28 on 22 April 2015 - 07:57 PM

I do not want. The guy has no instincts and doesn't have a true position. He is not thomas Davis and picking a defensive player in the 1st would be a slap in the face to cam newton. Can we please help our franchise qb and stop thinking our defensive will win us all our games.

#3325167 Throwing down the gauntlet, at #25 I want one of these three guys

#3316367 RUMOR: Panthers looking to move up to 16-20th pick

Posted by micnificent28 on 08 April 2015 - 11:20 PM

Nope....completely wrong.

All it says is that he sees a BPA guy that would be available in the 16-19 range that is worth more than the players he could get at 25 and whatever other pick we would give up.

It actually totally supports the BPA view.

I have to disagree. My idea of "BPA" is waiting to see what falls to you and selecting from your board the best overall talent. If your trading up for anyone that's not BPA because everyone is available for a price if your willing to move up. It completely contradicts the idea of sitting back and taking the best player.  Evem if it only costs you a 7th rounder your moving up because you believe that guy won't be there when you pick. Thats not BPA.

Tre Boston went from being a throwaway pick to being a first rounder in a re-do according to draft experts. Just stop. G-Man had a killer draft last year. In addition, he's excellent at rounding up UDFA talent too (Norwell, White, Lester, Philly, etc).

tre boston a first round pick? Lmao what did he do to make you even utter those words? Just stop.

honestly i dont see anyone i love enough to move up. Now if i could move up in the second round and snag say Cedric ogubuei or how you spell his name then we could talk. The meat and potatoes in this class is in the second. Not much difference from pick 20-50

That said gettleman seems like a conservative. He won't trade up until the later rounds. doesn't like to gamble his future.

#3291720 The Forgotten CB Stud.

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu was once projected to be the top CB in last years draft. After destroying his acl this year I haven't hear much from him from scouts or seen where he is projected. I believe If he is there in the 3rd or maybe even second I would consider pulling the trigger. What say you????

With opponents forced to try and keep up with the Ducks' high-octane offense, Oregon's defenders are often in position to make big plays - something that Ekpre-Olomu has proven quite adept at doing in earning consecutive First-Team All-Pac-12 honors the past three seasons, including All-America recognition as a senior in 2014.

Athletic, physical and instinctive, Ekpre-Olomu (full name is pronounced ee-fo eck-pray-olo-moo) is a turnover machine, registering 18 takeaways (nine interceptions, eight forced fumbles and one fumble recovery) in his career. However, his draft projection remains in limbo after suffering a severe right knee injury in practice prior to the Rose Bowl.

ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS: Competitive and alert with the tracking skills to locate and attack. Possesses broad shoulders and a well-built frame, overall and is sound in run-support, traits that could make him one of the country's best all-around cornerbacks. While undersized, does not shy away from throwing his body around in run defense. He has many of the requisite skills to survive in both press and off-man, displaying quick diagnose skills, twitchy reaction time and the athleticism to break on the ball. Ekpre-Olomu shows swivel hips, smooth footwork and explosive lower body skills to close in a hurry on the ball.

WEAKNESSES: He lacks prototype size and relies on vision, timing and hand-eye coordination rather than extraordinary speed or fluidity to shut down opponents. Doesn?t have ideal height or length to match up with physical targets at the next level. Will struggle to recover after false steps, lacking make-up speed. Can be easily tied up by blockers on the perimeter and lack of strength shows often. Perhaps best suited to playing the nickel in the NFL. Currently rehabbing from a knee injury that will keep him from working out prior to the NFL Draft and could keep him sidelined for NFL training camp.

Compares to: Brent Grimes, Miami Dolphins - Good things come in small packages, at least that's the case with cornerbacks like Grimes and Ekpre-Olomu who both lack ideal height and frame for the position, but they make up for their physical shortcomings with quick reflexes, natural instincts and ballskills.

#3239640 Carolina Will Select Cameron Erving With #25

Posted by micnificent28 on 12 February 2015 - 12:30 PM

As a FSU fan I say no. The guy is not worth a first. Not good at tackle or guard really. He really only cam on towards the end of the year at center and even this it was for the final 3 games. He has been a project his whole career moving from DT to LT,guard and finally center. Irving is not a first round talent don't be fooled.

No thanks.

#3216218 colts know a good thing when they see it.block chud from other job offers.

Yep. Chud was a fuging dumbass. 3rd and inches. Time for a 50 yard bomb!

Yes Chud is better than Shula, but you're going from Cancer to Aids.

I swear thats exactly what we did this year? Not saying chud didn't have his flaws but allowing him to grow as we have with ron would be better than whatever we keep holding onto with shula and rich rodgers.... good coordinator gets bashed for being a dick. Shula and rich suck but hey they are nice guys....stick around.

Via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Colts aren’t going to allow offensive assistant Rob Chudzinski to interview for any of the open offensive coordinator jobs.

Im sorry but even through the bad I always liked chuds creativity. Even though most of the huddle panned him and hated the read option. We had one of the top offenses in the nfl and now....well Shula. Sorry chud is superior to every coach not named McDermott in Carolina (yes talking to you ron).

No idea why he is in a rush to return to the vikes when they cut him once already before.
