#2780211 Grade Our 2014 Draft

Posted by micnificent28 on 11 May 2014 - 01:05 AM

Carolina Panthers: Their draft was puzzling to me. Why not a left tackle? Is Byron Bell the answer? Kelvin Benjamin is a big receiver, but I liked others more. Why draft a defensive end with so many other needs? Grade: D

i give it an A- minimum.

you whiny ***** need to realize we just got a future superstar at WR that we've been griping about cam not having for three years, we grabbed a potential superstar at DE that lets us get out of CJ's contract next year so we can fuging sign cam back to begin with, we grabbed a guard that's a day-one starter and gives us desperately-needed push from the interior and can actually pick up assignments so the tackles don't look like down's kids, we got a corner who can replace captain munnerlyn and not get burnt by anybody tall enough to ride the snoopy land rides at carowinds, and we nailed a value pick at running back that gives us leverage against the two giant double trouble albatrosses round our necks. literally the only questionable pick was boston at safety, and even then we lost mitchell and have no clue how any of the FAs we signed will actually pan out, so i take that back, it was a great pick.

we are one tackle away from being better than the 2013 team that led us to 12-4 and not capfuged and perpetual paraplegics in free agency. plug your drippy cooters and stfu and enjoy the ride, it's going to be awesome

I don't believe even you believe all the bs you just spewed. and i love kb by the way.

If he blows up, his nickname is Lord Kelvin!

As a fsu fan he already has a nickname. Optimus Prime.

Physical specimen

I believe my uncle, a longtime high school basketball coach in Mississippi, was the first person I ever heard utter the phrase "you can't coach height." What he meant was that no matter how well he prepared his players, they would likely still have a hard time against a team that was taller.

There is a lot of truth in that statement.

ONCE HE GETS ROLLING, HE EATS UP GROUND LIKE RICK ROSS ON SOME LEMON PEPPER WINGS.

Just a good read for those ready to jump from the ledge.

2014 Blue Chips

Greg Robinson, LT, Auburn - Robinson has long arms, quick feet a massive frame and is as dominant a run blocker as I have seen come out of college thanks to his ridiculous leverage. He is raw in pass protection, but his flaws in technique are coachable and are not physical. He’s the best lineman (and maybe player) in this draft.

Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M - Matthews doesn’t have blue chip size, but we he has is blue chip movement skills and technique that is rare to find heading into a draft. Matthews is a plug and play tackle who has been coached up by his father (Hall of Fame lineman Bruce Matthews) and I can’t find major flaws in his game. While Matthews is polished,, his ceiling isn’t nearly as high as Robinson’s, but he’s a very safe pick.

#2762911 Most Drafts have us taking OT Morgan Moses in 1st round

I wouldn't oppose. Infact if we go oline I would prefer him over benito and martin personally.

#2762832 The Fearsome 4s

This title reminds me of a comic book title. On a sidenote, we should call our our front 4 plus td and luke the sinister 6.

#2756431 Why Ryan Shazier is the BPA.

Posted by micnificent28 on 29 April 2014 - 11:37 PM

TD has 2 to 3 years left in him Ryan would be a great move and would lay the foundation at front 7 for many years ... But that's if the big 4 ot/wr isn't there .. But he is impact player that will add element to already dominate defense

Why would we even consider doing this when obviously the pick needs to be ot or wr. Were not in a position to take a luxury pick and draft for 2-3 years down the road were not the seahawks or the 49ers who's teams are already deep. We just gutted the offense period. We don't have extra picks...If we want to win we should not be planning on draft a backup linebacker when klien is fine we drafted on last year. No reason to keep stacking on to already stout positions when the offense is burning in flames. I can't even believe were debating this in a thread.

#2756418 Coach: Protecting Cam top priority

Posted by micnificent28 on 29 April 2014 - 11:06 PM

I'm sorry but you must not have any draft knowledge because your statement is very ignorant. If anything this year we fix WR and fix OL next year. Your talking 5 blue chip OL this year compared to 20 to 30 blue chip WRs.

Couldn't agree more and the 5 OL will be off the board before we pick. And then we would be in dangerous when you reach you get screwed range in gettlman terms.

Can we stop this insane talk of drafting players we don't need.

#2751880 According to McShay, We Should Move Up for WR

Posted by micnificent28 on 25 April 2014 - 07:36 PM

What is gettlemans style? So far it seems like a bunch of white bread b.s to me. Dont trade up ignorr your needs cut your number one wr hell cut them all. We dont need wrs to win draft bpa even if its another linebacker. Gettlemane style sounds like not winning to me.
