It was poor situational awareness by Colsten. He thought the clock had ran out and was attempting a lateral. Comically, it was very poorly thrown and ended up a forward pass. Also, there was still a few seconds on the clock when Colsten made the original catch at the sideline. If he would have just stepped out of bounds he could have setup Brees for a last second hail Mary attempt.
Did not get to watch the game. Did Colsten really throw the ball?? Why?
