#2806484 2014 Summer Transfer Window: Rumors, Completed Deals, Pipedreams!

Posted by DirtyMagic97 on 02 June 2014 - 08:45 AM

Now Fox Sport reports that they expecting Arsenal to get Balloteli. Manchester City wants Fabregas.

Balloteli would be major upgrade on Giroud.

"Sky sources understand that Manchester City have no interest in signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona"

Some conflicting reports there. Sky also reported Barcelona have told Cesc to pick a club. They want to use to money to purchase Koke.

Bocanegra's old ass is better than Chandler.

if you stuck that back there, it'd be better than Chandler.

If we don't play well, I want a loss. Hoping we don't squeak one out if we don't play well. If we play well, I'll take any result.

#2805465 Mickelson to join Martha Stewart?

Actually Phil has played quite a bit this year.

I was making a joke about his results in big tournaments.

Damn... 25 million?  I like Lallana but I think 25 is overkill.  If you get Lallana for 25, no way in hell Di Maria goes for anything less than 40.  No way Wenger buys him for 40.

Yea. I think his value is being inflated because 1) He's English and 2) He's proven he can have success in BPL.

#2805268 Soccer Fans: Introduce yourself

Favorite League: Barclays Premier League

But I watch every major European league.

When did you start following your team: March 2nd, 2003.

Why you picked your team: It was the 2003 League Cup Final. I didn't really like soccer, but I watched it with a United supporter who was utterly obnoxious. Had no idea about Liverpool's history at the time.

Liverpool went on to win 2-0.

Just started a UEFA Champions League Thread in the NASCAR/SOCCER sub. I suggest we start threads for Premier League, La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga, MLS, etc... I'm sure we'd have enough participation to move NASCAR out of there.

Full Quote: from Angel Di Maria:

“They (the media) say a lot of things and sometimes you think too much about them and it hurts when you are giving your all for the club. Things come out like ‘he’s going to Tottenham,’ or ‘he’s staying.’ These are difficult times for a player. It’s difficult to detach yourself (from the speculation). I was calm as I knew I wanted to continue with Madrid.”

Love how the media takes a snippet, fugs up the translation, then blasts the interwebz with their exclusive content. I have to admit, the poster there is pretty funny (and if they had said Arsenal instead, I would have loved it just like you guys), but totally taken out of context and ran with by the unrepentant and unprofessional sports writers. Absolutely zero ramifications if they screw it up too, which is BS.

It's just a joke. Everyone knows Marca is poo.

Good rotation guy.

Now the fee is closer to £5m. I can dig that for a rotation guy. Boyhood Red too. Was in the youth academy until he was released when he was 15. Better than Iago Aspas.

I might be better than Iago Aspas.

Liverpool have bid £16m for Alberto Moreno. Most sources saying the deal includes Suso, but not sure if it's loan or permanent move. I'd hate to see Suso go.

Our year was 2006 when we were ranked 4th in the world, but we blew it.

Ugh. What a meltdown. F*cking Ghana.
