Gettleman does not speak to the media during the season. It's his policy. He's said so before.

Why are people expecting him to?

I would love Scherff in the 1st and Erving in the 3rd.

if somehow Scherff and Ogbuehi are gone, I'm all in on Peat.

I don't want Ogbuehi.

fug you. He can hate whoever in the fug he wants. I hate the mother fuger too.

Maybe you guys should hate fug and then commit hate crimes afterwards.

#3088646 Free ticket to today's game

Posted by Icege on 16 November 2014 - 11:16 AM

I gave my ticket for today's game to a friend so that they could take their son to their first Panthers game, but they ended up not doing being able to go.

I figure with less than 2 hours until kickoff it isn't worth trying to sell, so I've decided to give it to a lucky Huddler.

I'll randomly pick a response from this thread within the next 30-45min and give the winner my ticket for today's game.

It's an aisle seat with a decent view. Mol3man can confirm.

#3085270 New strategy by Panthers front office and coaching staff: Let's all take...

Posted by Icege on 13 November 2014 - 10:25 AM

Yeah... I know.

I'll admit when I first read that comment in the OP, I was like "wtf is wrong with him?" But hearing it like that makes it sound differently... it wasn't critical at all. He was just trying to avoid being caught in a comparison that he wasn't really even trying to make.

So you're saying that we should seek clarification before posting reactionary threads/comments?

Poppycock!

#3074525 Is winning out the season really "winning"?

Posted by Icege on 09 November 2014 - 06:40 PM

Would I rather not have back to back winning seasons for the first time in franchise history as well as be the first team to win back to back NFCS titles so that Shula MIGHT get fired?

No.

@SCMunnerlyn: Have we met before? I've been active for awhile in the Tekken scene. I haven't had time to play as much as I used to (damn you adulthood!!) but I stay involved with the scene. What tournaments have you attended?

@Panda: So long as you prefer Melee and PM over Brawl you're more than welcome :P

I never said it wasn't. I said that just because it's a major religion that doesn't mean that people should be forced to learn about that religions beliefs. All that really needs to be known is that it's a religion and it influences a lot of people. If someone wants to know more take a class on religion.

The guy 100% has a point. Christianity isn't allowed to be talked about in schools so Islam shouldn't be allowed to be either.

We learn as early as elementary school about the pilgrims escaping religious persecution in Europe as to their reasoning for coming to what is now the USA. The pilgrims were a Christian sect. How are we taught this if Christianity isn't allowed to be talked about? Shouldn't these people be taught WHY a religion influences its followers the way that it does?

How is it possible to learn about a religion without learning what that religion believes? Nobody is being told that it is the way that they must live, only that this is how others CHOOSE to live. The same way that this bigoted father CHOSE to be a bigot.

Do any of the folks here objecting to the five pillars of Islam have any idea what they are? Bonus points if you understand the similarities to Christianity!

-There is no god except God, and Muhammed is his messenger.

-Ritual prayer (5 times a day)

-Give 2.5% of wealth to the poor

-Hajj to Mecca

-Fasting during Ramadan

Oh noes, I just indoctrinated peoplez!

#3068856 Power Rankings...It's Not Pretty

Posted by Icege on 05 November 2014 - 07:07 AM

Can we admit now that Cam played like booty trash on Thursday while also conceding that it's difficult to get anything done with an awful OL and even worse OC?

Also, any fan that honestly believes that the Panthers would lose to any college team should direct themselves to the nearest mental health institution. You're sick and are in even more desperate need of help than this team.

I am for educating all about religions..I am however also for combating and pursuing radicals..most specifically Islamic radicals.

Unfortunately a great deal of Muslims do support the killing of anyone who blasphemes muhammed in a cartoon..or writes a non supportive article, book about Islam. However that is not what the OP is about.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

A great deal of Christians also supported segregation, cruel and unusual treatment of homosexuals, burning crosses, burning churches, etc. :/

I just wish that those outraged over Christianity not being, "shoved down children's throats," were just as outraged over radical Christianity not being campaigned against.

Honest question though to anybody that sides with the father in this story: What if the assignment were about Buddhism's 4 Noble Truths and 8 Fold Path? Would this still be an issue? Why?

I've had to learn both (Islam & Buddhism) as an Asian studies minor, along with the facets of Hinduism, Daoism, Shinto, Zoroastrianism, etc. I didn't see any of it as indoctrination and am curious as to how other's can see it as such.

It might have been for Lindsey Graham, which makes a lot more sense.

Either way it's stupid.
