I agree, this episode was pretty much a completely different tone than any other episode in the entire show... I mean, was it directed by someone new? It was that different to me.
I'm surprised they killed off Tyrese, not really upset as his character was kind of dumb... the only real nitpick I have is that the "I'm deaf and can't hear a walker coming up behind me" schtick is getting old...
They're kind of at a big crossroads with the show now imo... they've done the zombie thing, they've done the "evil dictator" thing, they've done the crazy lunatic cannibal thing... what's left that won't be a repeat plot?
If the radio transmission were not a figment of his imagination, it sounds as though there may be organized and identified factions fighting for control of what's left of civilization.
Notice how precise those bodies were cut? Bottom halves left and then all of those torsos with no arms or legs fell on the car at the end?
