#3202994 RR: OC Shula did a good job at end of the season

Posted by Leeroy Jenkins PhD on 13 January 2015 - 12:20 PM

I don't know. Seattle, Baltimore, and Giants have similar approach and they have had postseason success.

It is about being effecient. That is all that truly matters

In Baltimore, Kubiak runs a successful stretch-zone run scheme.  Yes, it is designed to run, to set up the pass.  But the philosophy is eventually get large chunk yardage.

In Seattle, Bevelle fluctuates between working off the play-action to capitalize large gains and a traditional West-Coast offense.

Ben McAdoo in New York runs a hybrid west coast scheme and vertical attacking offense. which has not proven very effective.

How would you describe Shula?

Shula's philosophy has always evolved around ball control, make no mistakes, pick up 4-5 yards per play, etc.

That is not a successful game plan in today's NFL.  Why are we the only ones who see this!!!

What's even more mundane, we have never won a single game under Cam/Rivera when trailing at the end of the 4th.

There are few places left where it is socially acceptable to be loud, obnoxious and vulgar without repercussion. As a society, we have been burdened with the constant need to socially police ourselves. Sports are the last stronghold. Let's not lose them!

#3185409 Kyle Love currently....

Is it sad that I would rather have big fat Kyle Love versus trim Kyle Love?

If you look at his numbers, it appears in games he was asked to carry more of the load he was not as good.

This could mean he had a tendency to wear out easily.  Might be a great rotational guy though.

My son (now 5) loves football.  He knows all the teams and their names, etc.  I have never referred to the Seahawks as any other name than the seachickens.  Makes me laugh when he talks about them in public.
