good point. i wouldn't have a problem with it, fwiw. i got no dog in the armond smith fight.
I'm just venting. It bothers me how we give some guys numerous opportunities to hurt us, and just give up on others. Nothing against the guy, I know he had to work up from the practice squad and all. I'll stop derailing now.
i wasn't talking about benching him for the whole season, but for the game on special teams...or at least geting him out of that role where he can get pushed. if that happens three times in two games, we have a problem with either him or him being targetted and not being able to handle it.
regardless, it would be a mistake to keep putting him back into a position where things just have a way of going wrong.
When his only job is special teams, skip the benching, say goodbye, and just find someone else to do the job.
The whole reason he was supposedly kept over Poole was because he could contribute on special teams, or so we thought. Unless our idea of contribution is getting ejected, and costing us crucial yards late in the game lol.
Do it on a different day, pretty simple. Don't give the idiots something to complain about and twist your message. That's literally all I'm saying...
...and I'm certainly not saying "cater" to them. That's just stupid.
That wasn't directed at anyone here in particular, just my general view on this situation. Based on the back and forth that you and PhillyB are currently having, I can say that you and I aren't at all likely to see eye to eye on this.
You mean the same game where the Redskins defense was gashed for nearly 450 total yards and allowed 26 points by the Eagles in just the first half alone? I guess you simply forgot to mention those statistics from the game, right?
