#2446263 Cam haters, what you should have learned from the last 3 games

When's the last time a game manager put up 74 touchdowns through his first two and a half seasons?

Get this game manager crap outta here.

yeah.. if you want to look at it that way, then dlo did fumbled away that win (or so we think)...

point is.. cam didn't play particularly well in that game neither.. didn't play well enough to win.....

if he would've had a decent outing we wouldn't even been in that position.. most notably, rely on just that one play..

16/23 for 125 yards with 5.4 AVG, 1 TD, 0 INT's, 1 sack, QBR of 74.7, QB Rating of 97.2, and 38 rushing yards with a 7.6 YPA.

Get out.

#2446014 Cam Newton factoid via NFLN's Rich Eisen

Cam can handle the load. We need to run more QB draws on the goal line.

If we ran a QB draw instead of tolbert torwards the end of the game vs the rams we woukd have scored.

How mnay times has that draw failed out of all the times we ran it? We convert/ score like 90% of the time. He either runs them over or jumps over them!

You realize why we didn't run the QB draw at that point right? It wasn't worth the risk with how chippy and dirty the Rams were playing.

#2445954 Cam Newton Our Franchise QB?

Posted by TheRed on 24 October 2013 - 01:41 PM

A franchise QB is someone who makes the team better and helps the team win games.  So far Cam is not that.  Look at Luck without him the colts would be a terrible team.  Cam doesn't make the players around him better.

Jesus Christ.

The Colts built around Luck on offense through the draft immediately. This false assumption that the Colts were some poo team to begin with is absurd too. We've currently got zero drafted starters on offense since Cam was drafted in 2011. Make players better? Yeah, okay.

Not always hard on him.  But people on here act like he is the next best thing.

That couldn't possibly be because this is a Carolina Panthers message board could it? You know, the team Cam Newton plays for?

#2445125 Cam Newton Our Franchise QB?

He has not been consistent enough nor won enough games to be labeled as our franchise QB.

You deserve an eternity of being mercilessly subjected to Jimmy Clausen and Blaine Gabbert clones.

Good stuff. DA is a really cool dude, if you're a Panthers fan there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy giving this a listen.

People criticize Cam when he plays poorly and compliment him when he plays well. This is madness.

Then there are the people who question his work ethic out of the blue with no factual information whatsoever. Ahem.

What a surprise.

#2443352 Should Ron Rivera be fired!

If he wants even the slightest chance of remaining head coach, he's got to get this team to the playoffs. Plain and simple.

Yeah that's what I mean... JR called all those shots.  He didn't want to pay Rivera and another coach and he didn't want to fire the scouting staff for whatever reasons, possibly similar $$$ reasons...

Yep. If we want to talk about hiring based on money reasons, we can look no further than our current staff. Can't expect playoffs when you set yourself up for failure from the get go. Even worse when you are wasting pivotal early years with a talent like Cam Newton.
