#2861061 Speed & Quickness at WR

Posted by TheRed on Today, 01:18 PM

I'm fine with it too.  The point of the thread was to highlight the battle for that Ginn-type role on offense.  I think many have been assuming KB/Jerricho/Avant are getting the bulk of catches but maybe Avant ends up being more of a minimal role a la Hixon and one of the 3 in the OP contributes more.

I don't know why I keep forgetting Underwood.  He looked as good as Ginn ever has last season (not looking at KR/PR)...and that was with Glennon throwing him the ball.  He definitely has the opportunity here to get some numbers and contribute quite nicely.

Yeah I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, but I'm hoping that Underwood turns some heads this year.

Having steady handed targets like Cotchery, Avant, and Olsen is what will make the difference in this offense. We struggled in the red zone late last year, but Kelvin will help with that. Obviously Benjamin is still a rookie, but he will be learning, you can't learn his size though.

nor do i think he really broke any laws with that girl besides being stupid for being with her.

bad things happen and clubs and he just got convicted and he has what, 5 days till training camp?

i know he is into his music and that's awesome, but sometimes things need to be put on hold to straighten things out.

I agree with you. That being said, it is not too late at all for Greg to turn things around here in Carolina, at least in my opinion.

What he does from training camp forward will decide that. I hope he realizes this, and uses it all as motivation.

I'm fine with the group we have. The media will continue to understimate them, but who cares, they should have a chip on their shoulders at this point. Honestly I'm more concerned about picking up where we left off in the return game, and obviously the OL gelling quickly.

What about Tiquan Underwood? He ran a 4.31 forty, Ted Ginn ran a 4.28.

Pre-orders for the new jerseys start in late-August, and authentic jerseys will arrive in stores and be shipped to fans starting a month later. They also will be sold at the arena shop, online and by various retailers starting in late-September. Prices will be in the $200 range for authentic jerseys, with replicas selling for $65 to $70 each, Bennett said.

So is this another one of those offseason threads where people get worked up over nothing?

There's literally like no new information in that article.

It basically says he's in the final stage of recovery, but taking basic precautions.

#2856859 Obama power grab greatest threat to constitution in US history

Posted by TheRed on 18 July 2014 - 11:59 AM

Turley is warning against the trend of sitting presidents abusing the executive order. He warned us when Bush was doing it, he's warning us now. Take your damn party hack glasses off and read or listen to his testimony. Go back and listen to it when GW was pres if you must. The executive branch is getting too powerful.

Executive orders are only one part of the equation. The other is all the petty fighting and grudges within the House and Senate.

Republicans fight Obama, Obama fights Republicans, little actually ends up getting accomplished.

He's gotta make some serious noise in TC, and preseason this year. I can only hope that he does.

Posted by TheRed on 17 July 2014 - 02:48 PM

That's not what the thread is about. The Dems fought Bush at every turn which probably pleased you, no?Take that out of the equation. Bush had 38 or so executive orders. Obama not as many yet but still too many. Maybe blocking what Obama is trying to do is a good thing, that's why this government was established to have checks and balances.

Yeah well it's relevant. Of course the Democrats faught Bush at every turn. He started two wars in the middle east with nothing to show for it. Blocking what Obama is trying to do is nothing different from what has been happening since he was first elected.

Of course Republicans see this as a "good thing".

Repubs don't stand a chance until they get over some social issues. But if a repub gets elected as POTUS, do you want him using executive power on things like abortion, gay marriage, religion?

I don't know about simply reducing blatant racism, sexism, and intolerance for homosexuals to "social issues".

Supposedly Turley is a democrat and Obama supporter. He's not arguing for or against Obama or before that, Bush. He's arguing that these individuals taking matters into their own hands is dangerous. I think we can all agree that one person making the calls without the proper checks and balances is very dangerous.

It's the house Republicans currently attempting to sue Obama. The man cannot be elected again. I would think the GOP would be focused on how they are going to actually get a president elected without alienating every voter who is not a white conservative male.

It's funny seeing old white men declaring that the first black president is also the worst president in our history.
