#3102665 If Cam had Romo's protection...

Posted by GRWatcher on 23 November 2014 - 11:59 PM

lol oh how we forget. I can remember not too long ago when Dallas had the absolute worse o-line in the NFL. Took them at least 4 years to get it where it is today. Did you miss the short segment on Romo's surgery history?

We'll get there. But, yeah, 3 seconds at least, consistently, would be sweet.

#3088108 Michael Robinson of NFLN Playbook talks Cam

Posted by GRWatcher on 15 November 2014 - 07:25 PM

And the offensive line. They have to at least get in the way of somebody.

He thinks Cam needs to stay in the pocket more, have less run plays designed for him considering how he's getting beat up. Can't be a runner and throw the ball surgically too when he needs to. Nothing new. He says that Cam is asked to do it all.

He & Sharpe pick Carolina to win. Billick picks Atlanta.

#3085035 The Panthers are a fail of a franchise, You DONT DO THIS TO YOUR FRANCHISE QB

lmao! Does anyone remember the years of the terrible o-line in Dallas? in Green Bay? In Indianapolis (even with Manning there)? in New England? in Seattle? in New Orleans? in Atlanta? in Tampa Bay? In New York (both of them)? In god-forsaken Pittsburgh???

Think about it. It happens. It's shitty and especially shitty when it's your team. It will get fixed but not today.

Musical chairs continue: #Panthers signed RB Chris Ogbonnaya two days after releasing him. They needed the space to maneuver w/Presley.

in quasi-related news, i'm stuck on campus at UNCC until 8 next monday night and i'll have to make a mad dash somewhere nearby to make the kickoff. anyone watching it nearby or have any good spots?

You know, you need to stop having a life if you're going to watch Panther football. I mean, really.

j/k I'm to far from UNCC for you, sorry.

#3055403 Fan Experience - Panthers vs. Hornets

Posted by GRWatcher on 30 October 2014 - 03:35 PM

At the Bears game we had 2 Bears fans sit next to me and I thought, uh oh. But they turned out to be great guys, eagerly talking football with everyone around them. Moved to Rock Hill from Chicago this year. There were 2 things that they said they'd trade us for: our cheerleaders (Bears have none) and the stadium staff. Apparently the staff isn't so nice at Soldier Field. So it could be worse.

There's a big difference between handling a crowd of 20,000 in a controlled environment for 2 hours and a crowd of 74,000 with the majority outside in the elements for 4 hours. I've never had a bad experience with the staff at BoA but I did with the Hornets when Shinn owned them. I'm glad MJ has turned that around.

#3055320 Huddle is on High Alert....

Posted by GRWatcher on 30 October 2014 - 02:45 PM

The biggest problem is that there are too many guys who can't watch football without getting falling-down drunk which means they're not watching the football game at all to know what is really going on. But they think they see one thing that sticks in their head, and only their head!, & they get on the Huddle to expound on it because, of course, no one else will. :beerhat:  There ought'a be a law that keyboards should be taken away as well as car keys.

I love you guys & you certainly make me laugh but I do not get on the Huddle on game day. It lets me keep my sanity that way. :abe:

And, yes, this is game day but I won't be here tonight.

#3055293 fug you NFL Network. fug you so so so hard.

The McCartney concert, from reading reviews, lasts about 3 hours from 8:00 plus travel time. All the more reason for the hotel to show the game in the bar on the tv that is easily seen for everyone. It will be dead until about 11:45. I like the idea of splitting the cable feed and taping it to the ceiling. Sometimes when you eliminate all the improbable all you have left is the impossible. Then set up a special tip jar for the "cable guy" because you'll need the money when you lose your job. :P

I don't know if the third spur is local or not but you need to have some serious money making business discussions with the hotel. Which tv would pull in the most dollars, the one in a lobby or the one in a bar? And while in said bar what would have patrons spend more, watching Elementary or watching the 2 top NFL teams in the South battling for 1st place? Talk them into switching the cable feeds for the night. I know it can be done. They'll thank you later.

We're going to miss Blackburn, especially on Special Teams. But I'm glad to see Lester is back.

Sorry. With Wagner out this week, your prediction needs revising. No win for Seattle.

Please do not give up your Huddler user names. The last thing I want is to associate whiner voices with what I'm reading.
