#2868369 Pats claim RB Tyler Gaffney off waivers

Posted by KillerKat on Yesterday, 07:28 PM

he does it every thread man don't waste a post... It's unfortunately a fact that there's just people that love to complain, and all you can do is ignore them because no matter what facts they get they are determined to be that way dude. On another note I liked Gaff but it's not like we can't draft another late round bruiser next year because with that injury he won't even see the field anyways so same situation although next year I say we take a tackle in the first and pick up a high quality back in the 2nd to replace our two grandpas and RB

Here's a fact. A draft pick is better than no draft pick. We basically chose to throw away a pick rather than selecting someone that could at least provide depth at tackle. A lot of people questioned the pick when it was made. Now it looks even more foolish. If you saw potential in him, you keep him. Us waiving him basically means we never really cared about the pick.

I have a feeling not signing Ginn back is going to turn out to be the biggest mistake of the offseason.

#2866615 Travelle Wharton retires

Was a good Panther. A family man that went largely unnoticed. One of my favorite stories is Jordan going down hurt and Travelle sobbing on the sideline. Jordan tells him he's going to be ok. Travelle responds "it's not that. I don't want to play Left Tackle".

ughh does the word "drone" describe any non armed remote control device too?

I just. . I mean what happened to "remote controlled" such and such, as theyve been calling them for 30 years.

e: I would like to petition to rename the microwave into the "Firebox". Can we do this?

That name is already taken by my ex and not for the good reasons.

lol btw, the thread Kurb bumps really shows how dumb p55 and pantherclaw really are. Amongst others: http://www.carolinah...tension/page-25

#2865574 Tolbert as our kick returner

Posted by KillerKat on 26 July 2014 - 12:06 PM

Tolbert's job is essentially to be the lead blocker on the return. He did it all last season. This isn't a new thing

But he didn't return, which is the point of the thread.

#2863525 Kug to have back surgery Aug 8th, done for year

Btw, I think DG has done a good job as a GM, but it pisses me off that he has done very minimal for the o-line.

Hardy was already hurt, and while its an interesting example, youd have to say that the Kraken pick has paid major dividends so far.

Who was the bigger project? Who was drafted where they should?

You're asking for perfection, which is unreasonable. Why can't people just be reasonable? How many teams do you know of that every year nail every pick in the draft?

I'm not asking for perfection. Just not taking a chance on projects that should go in the 7th round or undrafted in the 4th round when you only have 5 picks and not drafting hurt players.

oh noooo our 4th round pack didn't pan out :(

I hope Gettleman learned his lesson. That'll teach him to pick Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short, and AJ Klein while also signing Ginn, Mitchell, and Mikell to help set the Panthers up for a 12-4 season that resulted in their first playoff game in 5 years.

why can't people just not like to be wasting draft picks?

#2857790 Did we miss out on a diamond in the rough?

Posted by KillerKat on 19 July 2014 - 03:14 AM

I would've rather taken a chance on a tackle with our last pick than select a RB that may not even see the field next season. Or trade for an extra pick at some point and use a late round pick on a tackle. It's not like we have a whole plethora of depth and talent at the tackle position anyway.
