#3257896 Greg Hardy Officially Not Back With Panthers in 2015

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on Yesterday, 02:09 PM

Not shocked but that is pretty fuging stupid not to even make an attempt. Players of Greg's caliber don't just grow on trees.

#3256993 Michael Sam invited to veteran scouting combine

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 27 February 2015 - 05:38 PM

So I've seen this question asked like 4-5 times in this thread and no one has answered it...when is the veteran scouting combine and will it be bleeping televised? Thanks

#3256372 Raiders to cut S Tyvon Branch

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 27 February 2015 - 10:46 AM

That doesn't make him any better. he consistently gets beat on coverage and misses a lot of tackles.

From what I've seen Branch is a pretty decent safety. He will easily be our best safety if we sign him. I honestly don't know how any Panther fan can say no to him I mean our starting safeties are Tre Boston and an old ass Roman Harper easily the worst tandem in the league

As long as others are brought in to compete I wouldn't mind the signing.

#3254180 I'm not so sure Carolina drafts a running back at all.

No thank you on Reaves. I think we're set at RB1 and RB2. If Reaves is all we have currently for RB3 I think we definitely bring in some late round or UDFA to compete. I personally didn't see much potential in Reaves.

#3253188 Thanks Deangelo and WBTV! Panthers now public enemy number one.

Lol those comments always show that this world is full of brain dead clinically approved retards it's sad I'm forced to even coexist with them.

#3252715 So how do we restructure/extend Charles Johnson?

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 24 February 2015 - 12:20 PM

I know cj is our best DE under contract currently, but he did have a down year and 20 million dollars is something I'd expect JJ Watt to make in a season.

Here is a hypothetical question if we designate CJ as a june 1st cut and then use that money to go after Hardy would anyone be opposed to that? I know this is extremely unlikely to happen but IMO it puts us in better shape for the long term as long as Hardy can keep his nose clean. Keep in mind you also have to take into account Hardys possible suspension next year as well.

#3251885 Public Service Announcement: Pushover GM vs. Results GM

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 23 February 2015 - 09:38 PM

Couldn't have said it better. All things eventually come to an end especially in pro sports. Gettleman has said time and time again leave your emotions out of the decision making process. Something that is easier said than done. I'm just glad Gettleman is a man of his word I think we're in good hands.

#3247166 Panthers met with Texas A&M OT Cedric Ogbuehi

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 19 February 2015 - 11:07 PM

Gman is not in the business of taking chances. He wants players that can/will contribute immediately. Even in the later rounds.

I truly believe he has the instincts to round out his roster.

For the first time since Polian left, we have a smart football guy in charge. Anybody with a ounce of sense will just love that thought.

If you have seen nothing in the last two years. I can't help you. If you have seen the direction we are headed. Welcome to the party.

I am truly excited about this team's future. I don't think G-Man honestly expected to win our division in back to back years being as cap strapped as we were the last couple of seasons. Now that he's going to have 3 draft classes under his belt with already a good nucleus of young players to build around AND he's got some cap room to play with 3 peating as NFC South Champs is looking better and better.

What are you talking about? Ealy had a pretty good year for a rookie DE.

I'm not trashing Kony by any means. I am glad we got him and he did come on strong towards the end of the season but his impact was minimal. What I was trying to say is translate Kony's season to say what we'd get out of a rookie wr in the 2nd of this years draft. Which we could then expect about a 400 yardish season. I personally would rather draft a player that could potentially have a higher impact than someone who could still be good in the future but still only has minimal production his rookie season. I know we've gotten burned by project players before and we've yet to really have one pan out for us, but I do like Ogbuehi as a prospect he was pretty good for Texas A&M.

#3246652 Ron Rivera Press Conference Quotes

Posted by Mr Mojo Risin on 19 February 2015 - 02:31 PM

In terms of age he's far from young but he's only been in the league for 3 years. He certainly played like a veteran this year. Just trying to figure out the 22/16 that Rivera is talking about.

KB, Ealy, Turner, Bene, Boston, Norwell, Philly, Star, KK, Klein?, Remmers, White, Glanton, Bersin?, Norman?, Jones?, Fozzy? Who are the 6 young guys that didn't contribute at all? Byndom, Foucalt, Reddick?, Swole Bones?, Presley, Lester?

I'm a year ahead of myself I thought Norman has been in the league for 4 years already. I'm sure he is considered a young guy then
