If Rich Rod ran a 4-3 or even a 3-4 he would still be around.
To think that you could compete with Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State year in and year out running the 3-3-5 was simply idiotic. He had a really good D-coordinator but the guy was screwed b/c Rodriguez was stuck on the 3-3-5.
His offense was decent but that defense was going to continue to take poundings, no matter how many top recruits you bring in b/c the 3-3-5 is worthless as your base defense against the top teams.
I can kind of see your point, I'm not saying he's not committed to football because he doesn't want to come out and play for the panthers that's ridiculous.
He keeps mentioning how badly he wants to finish his major and I keep wondering why that is so important to him if football is to be his career for the next 15 years.
I haven't read anything where he says he just wants to stay in school to play football, it's always about finishing his major. I worry that football isn't his main passion in life which may lead to poor results.
He can finish his major no problem while in the NFL. UNCC has a great program for that if he wanted to transfer some credits back to Stanford.
It's very impressive that he's so bright and all that but it's getting to the point that I'm wondering just how badly he wants to be an NFL QB.
Why do you care why its important to him? He is a product of a great home and has a very successful father. He doesnt have the same values as you. Believe it or not, there are people who value education above sports, no matter what position they are put in. Some of you sound so salty over the fact that the kid might not play for the Panthers and are trying to throw stones whatever ways that you can. Being the number 1 pick means nothing if you continue to lose and get destroyed every other play. I bet you David Carr would give up a few million if he could have been drafted later to a team that didnt get him destroyed and kill his confidence. Luck is a bright kid. He knows what hes doing. And LMAO @ anyone who thinks that a Stanford student would transfer their credits to UNCC
I'm just being realistic here. Has the front office given you any reason to think we'll go after a big name receiver, even with Smith and Jarrett (presumably) out?
Again, I never said Moore is a proven talent. All I'm saying is he was a better option than Jarrett, and we should have kept him here because of that.
yea i know brah. im just saying even before the season there were plenty of capable guys available and posters up here still wanted players like Moore, Guy, Martin to be on the field for us. its just like wtf, you cant win in this league like that. its like some people are obsessed with having players that nobody else wants. this whole "hes underrated" thing gets annoying
