#3162894 The Coaching Carousel has begun

Of course Rex is great. Just ask him

People that are impressed by all of Rex Ryan's big talk think he's a great coach (that list includes Woody Johnson). But the reality is he's more entertaining than effective.

Like his brother, he tends to make an early splash and then fade into mediocrity. But even when he's losing, he'll still talk and act like the biggest bully on the block.

So yeah, Rex will keep your team in the headlines, but he won't keep them in the playoffs.

I'm not sold on that.  Rex has had to deal with 3 GMs in his tenure... none of which were any good.  His teams were always competitive even without ANY talent at the skill positions.  He's certainly a blowhard but I've watched a lot of Jets games... and I think he's a pretty damn good coach.  I don't want him coaching Atlanta... I think with a real QB and a decent OC he could be very dangerous.

Tuck doesn't even play for the Giants anymore. He's on Oakland and has 3 sacks this year. You talking about JPP? He's out of our price range...

and beyond that, we're the only team that habitually lets all-pro DEs go.

JPP is gonna be a giant for a long time.

#3105534 Some visual proof of how incompetent Carolina's coaching staff truly is.

I never said he produced more than Stew has but Fozzy has been focused, decisive and determined. I haven't seen that out of "double trouble" in oh, about 5 years. Stew is the far superior RB but I'd rather have a guy with half the talent and twice the drive than all the talent and no will to use it.

well we got a whole defensive backfield of "lots of heart and no skill" so at least there's that.

The roster move was a weird one. How much better can this scrub be than Armanti? (serious question), because AE was probably average for a #5 WR. Now we have a new guy in here whom we have to pay (so we didn't save much if any towards the cap) and he has to learn our entire system.

The only point I see is to make a statement, light a fire perhaps....

also, keep in mind that atlanta was going to be out looking for a reciever too... if gettleman liked mcnutt and suspected ATL did too that would be enough reason to go ahead and get it done... get a guy we liked a little more than a guy we had and deprive a rival of someone we viewed as talented...

just spitballing.

How did that work out for us.

Newton himself said that the long routes were there, he just didn't go to them.

#2338650 Colt McCoy expected to be released today

Posted by mmmbeans on 25 August 2013 - 11:59 AM

He's better than clausen, he didn't get a fair shake in Cleveland.

Sent from my HTC One using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Maybe McCoy was better two years ago but from what I've seen in preseason Clausen has played much better with a much worse cast...  regardless, you'd be hard pressed to find a QB that fits our offense any worse than McCoy.

Hello, I am currently 30 years old and I want to become a walrus. I know there’s a million people out there just like me, but I promise you I’m different. On December 14th, I’m moving to Antarctic; home of the greatest walruses. I've already cut off my arms, and now slide on my stomach everywhere I go as training. I may not be a walrus yet, but I promise you if you give me a chance and the support I need, I will become the greatest walrus ever.Thank you all so much

i don't know what this is but i like it.

stirs is right though. we've become so adapted to defending politicians that we're missing the point of the public. we cannot be represented by our elected officials if everything is done either in secrecy, against or bill of rights or against our will. in fact its the opposite of our republics purpose. it should not be our job to defend them, without question. and its moreso our fault if we play along with thier neverending campaigns. thats all lobbying is. campaign donators. and they get far more representation for thier dollars than we do. franklin said he gave us the republic but we would have to work to keep it. and every generation before has made waves for us to enjoy the lives we endure daily. all we are doing is surrendering it for future generations with our indolence and ignorance.

I appreciated the platitudes but contextually this is a complete non-sequitur. Our country is having problems right now but you'll excuse me if I don't pay attention to the people who have been saying society's coming apart at the seams since Clinton beat bush 1.
