#2952878 The cherry on top: Bucs lose to QB-less Rams

Posted by dugbug on 14 September 2014 - 06:50 PM

No way. You talking about this same Bucs team who the media said was playoff bound? I thought the Bucs were going to be unstoppable with Lovie?

Well... Their defense can't get a stop so unstoppable in a way :)

#2871895 Panthers will support RFID tags in shoulder pads, real-time player position data

Posted by dugbug on 31 July 2014 - 02:21 PM

These teams are participating this season:

Atlanta, Baltimore, Carolina, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, New England, New Orleans, Oakland, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Washington

Teams will not be given access during the game for competition reasons, but think of all the in-game app trackers and statistics.  Some info from the article:

For the football nerd, it's a bonanza of sorts, possibly changing fantasy football and morning-after box scores forever. Zebra said the technology, known as "Next Gen Stats," will track player acceleration rates, top speed, length of runs, and even how much separation a ball carrier got from a defender. It's not just a Pandora's box of stats for fans and broadcasters, as coaches can immediately employ the data to decide what plays to run or how to defend them.

#2854552 NFL Sunday Ticket Offering Standalone Streaming

Posted by dugbug on 16 July 2014 - 06:48 PM

Wish it was exclusive to apple just to piss off sloth :) (macs rock)

I tried to sign up, says Im ineligible.  Apparently only certain cities and even restricted to certain dwelling types (neighborhoods?)   Perhaps just one small town in Nebraska, and only during the yak milking festival

#2820465 Would you want this much Science and Technology in Football?

Posted by dugbug on 15 June 2014 - 06:58 PM

All you technology fanboys, go watch the movie iRobot. It may be a movie but it is very true. Once you're done watching, then read the series of books it's based off of.

I don't think the football is at risk of developing a positronic brain

#2812553 You can now Embed Tweets.....

Posted by dugbug on 07 June 2014 - 07:28 AM

Just an FYI for you twitter folks.

You can now embed tweets by simply pasting the direct link to the tweet.

To get the direct link, just go to the tweet you are interested in and click "Details". This takes you to the URL of the individual tweet. All you have to do is copy and paste that URL onto the huddle somewhere, no tags needed.

The result looks like this....

Tweet does not seem to show up on the ios mobile app. Is it working on the android version?

It does show up on the mobile web view

Now having stated what should be obvious I hope KB kicks some major A$$

#2791969 Rookie Camp Notes

Sounds like this could be another Evertt Brown type guy that might not be here in a few seasons. I hope he gets better. But when he got drafted some people said he was undersized for his position at DE. Brown was the same way. I just got this feeling this could end up the same way with Ealy in next few years. I know it is way to early to judge. But it doesn't sound good in the long run.

Whatever you do in life, make sure you jump to baseless comparisons as fast as possible
