JIMMY!!!!!!! I hope he plays well. Would love to see him as the new scrunchy face of the Bears. He sucked here because the coaches were checked out and didn't care anymore. SS89 was throwing temper tantrums on the field whenever the ball was either underthrown or overthrown. He had it rough here... rougher than any rookie qb should have had it.
People say that the players (AP and Hardy) had a choice in the matter, to sign-up to go on the commish list...but, what other real choice was there? Panthers would have kept deactivating Hardy.. Basically it's a "Sign this, don't sign this, either way, you're not going to play"
If Cam ever leaves........... we'll be stuck with a Gabbert or Clausenesque type of qb.. since we, as a franchise, do not believe in building around qbs.. We'll be switching out qbs on a year to year basis..
While Cam will go to a team that has a decent Oline, decent receivers, OC and a run game........and tear it up.
Beloved franchise qb already in place but the new GM doesn't like him?
Can't cut him outright unless the GM wants the fans to revolt.
Best way is to eliminate all of the qbs previous WRs.......and butcher up the Oline..so the qb has little chance to be productive..
Then sit back and watch the hillbilly fans jerk off about Cam being the problem and has to go..... so when the GM finally does cut the qb........the majority of the fans will cheer..... the next qb we get, will be surrounded with a decent quality Oline and some speed WRs to compliment Benji...so right off the bat, the new qb will be more productive..............and G-man will be considered a genius.
I blame read option. Thinking about running every other play .....isn't helping him set his feet.. Teams know how to shut down the read option these days. Bengals were just caught off guard. Unless Shula opts to drastically cut down on the read option crap...our offense and Cam will continue to get worse. His throws will continue to be off.
The games before the Bengals game, when he wasn't thinking about read option or running much.......he was able to focus on staying in the pocket and getting rid of the ball somewhat quick. he was also able to set his feet a lot more.
