You mentioned persecution so I figured you would see how beheading is a form of persecution.
Again with the civilian casualties. The goal for the US military is vastly different than a terrorists. Unfortunately there isn't a stadium we can have wars in. The terrorists know this and will hide behind women and children. Our military will not do that.
I don't think anyone is saying our military is targeting civilians. But the end result is that our bombs still kill them and that does lead to continued mistrust. I highly doubt that the poor villager who just saw his oldest son blown up says to himself "that's ok that bomb was meant to hit the terrorists and wasn't meant for my son".
