I will have no problem if we draft the best WR or OT available at # 28.

Draft his ass.

While we are at it, we should also draft his complete body. :)

I think he has a drinking problem.

Either that or a severe thinking problem.

#2733595 Ed Dickson visiting the Panthers

Former Ravens tight end Ed Dickson would be a good one-two punch together with Olsen in a double TE set. Here's hoping we sign him.

The huddle, where pointing out facts is complaining.

Hold everything. Please stop complaining about someone else complaining. You now have me complaining about your complaining.

#2730380 Panthers Sign Avant to 1 Year Deal

Posted by PantherFanOne on 07 April 2014 - 05:39 PM

Jason Avant sounds like a person of high character, according to this report..

(" Jason Avant is an avid Scrabble player.[8] During Chris Berman's "Fastest Three Minutes" he referred to him as Jason "You Can't Always Get What" Avant.[9] Avant and his wife, Stacy, live in Clementon, New Jersey. He is the son of Jerry Avant and Claudette Patrick. His brother, Edwon Simmons, was a baseball player, who was drafted by Baltimore Orioles and was a safety at San Diego State. He is now a talent scout for a sports agency in Chicago.[10]

Avant is a Christian. Avant has spoken about his faith saying "I devoted my life to Jesus Christ on May 4, 2003. It was a day when, if you can imagine it, your eyes are opened to a whole different light. On that day, I had a consciousness of God that I never really had before. It’s sort of like being in darkness, but you finally start to see. I realized that day that all of the stuff that I learned growing up was backwards, according to the Scripture. It was the day that changed my life. I started realizing that I had a purpose, and every thought from that day on went through a filter of Jesus Christ first. Before I can make a decision I have to think, ʻWould it be pleasing to God?’".)

Sounds like a dumb idea and  shows what some teams are willing to for an extra dollar.

#2720127 fug YOU PIZZA HUT! fug YOU!

Posted by PantherFanOne on 28 March 2014 - 05:23 PM

i fuging love pizza hut. however i would never consider buying wings there. pizza for pizza, wings for wings. and all god's people said AMEN

I like Pizza Hut's new large, hand tossed Pizza Supreme. It is much better than the old one and currently only costs $ 10.00. I am not a wings person so naturally I've never eaten any there.

#2718615 Gettleman Isn't a People's Person

Posted by PantherFanOne on 27 March 2014 - 04:18 PM

One thing you don't get is the fact that if the G.M. isn't a people's person then that could possibly trickle down to the players.  No one wants to play for a team that disrespects players or mislead players.  Football is a team sport so if the G.M. isn't building that team chemistry and team infastructure then the house could come down.  Tampa Bay felt the effects from their head coach.

The man could be the best talent searcher in the world but if no one is respecting him and the players don't have confidence that the Panthers is a place they can comfortably call home, then him being a good evaluator is pointless because only old washed up players will come here for the vet minimum and potential talents will come here to strengthen their resume' for a one year deal then they will leave.

Hmmmm!!!! Marty Hurney was considered a people person by the players, how did that work out for the team? Not so good? Point taken, case closed.

#2717566 Something that is out of character

Posted by PantherFanOne on 26 March 2014 - 07:17 PM

Got to love the fact that Tavarres King possesses the quickness off the line that helps him shake off press and fly by cornerbacks playing off-coverage. As a vertical threat, he can track the ball over either shoulder and grab the ball with his hands near his head. He also has elusiveness after the catch to free himself after a hitch route. The work on his upper body has paid off, as he can play through physical corners to get inside position when needed. Extremely fluid route runner, plays with tremendous balance and body control.

#2716217 Lafail at bobcats game

Posted by PantherFanOne on 25 March 2014 - 08:11 PM

Hahahah thought it was pretty funny to see good ole Donald Lafail still hanging around at the bobcats vs rockets game tonight, rocking a customized Anaheim Angels...wait for it.......Lafell jersey haha....knowing no one would prbly recognize him without his name on a jersey despite having that silly roscoe dash Mohawk thing.....he was with a very attractive young lady...wonder how long it will take him to drop her, someone should warn her.....

Was he the tall dude that had trouble finding  the correct route to his seat and kept droping his drink ? Thought so. However,he seemed to be good at blocking everyone in the isle.  :)

#2716096 Gettleman speaks......finally

Posted by PantherFanOne on 25 March 2014 - 06:06 PM

Everyone seems to be harping on Cam's salary but did our GM really just say Bell could be our new LT?

I've asked this before: What in the f*ck does Rivera and DG see in him?  I just don't get it.

It sounds more and more like our line could be Bell-Amini-Kalil-Scott-Chandler if we don't get an OL in R1 or 2.

Also, what was the Godfrey thing someone referenced?

•  He was noncommittal about the future of free safety Charles Godfrey, who has a $7.1 million cap figure and is coming off Achilles surgery.
“He’s part of the evaluation,” Gettleman said. “He’s got to get healthy first.”
•  Gettleman sounded bullish on fourth-year player Byron Bell’s chances to shift from right to left tackle and fill the void left by Jordan Gross’ retirement.
“Byron is a naturally left-handed kid. He played left tackle his whole college career. He’s taken snaps there in practice and in preseason games,” Gettleman said. “I think the mistake we make is we all have preconceived notions about what a guy can and can’t do. I have seen Byron over there. In my mind, he is not a fish out of water.”

#2716073 Rams GM says they have better than a 50 % chance of signing Britt

I have faith in "Gettleman Magic" to make sure our WR,OL and DB positions are manageable when the season starts.

#2714768 No more Billick

Posted by PantherFanOne on 24 March 2014 - 03:16 PM

On one hand, he was a terrible commentator, but on the other hand, we only lost one game he called for us.

What??? I don't agree.I thought Billick was pretty good and very insightful the vast majority of time..
