#2919537 Caplan: Stephen Hill trying out for Panthers today

Posted by PantherFanOne on Yesterday, 01:16 PM

Stephen Hill is the one player that i kept scanning the waiver wires to see who would pick him up the day he was released, hoping we  would do it instantly if he fell to us..

Since we didn't, this is the next best thing and if Ricky Proehl and the coaching staff see fit to keep him in hopes of  helping Hill improve the talent he already has, then it will certainly be alright with me.

#2917313 Final Panther cuts 8-30-2014

Posted by PantherFanOne on 30 August 2014 - 05:10 PM

Im all for it but wasnt it Champ who dissed Cam big time on NFL network on the 100 best players list or something. I swear I remember him dissing Cam on TV saying how overrated he was etc.. Oh well, live and let live I suppose

Fug that over the hiill dude. I want someone that's career is ahead of him, not behind him.

#2915306 Bersin Expected to Make Team; Must Change Number

Posted by PantherFanOne on 29 August 2014 - 04:11 PM

This would be good news about him, if it happens .For the longest .I,ve been  pulling for former Wofford WR Brenton Bersin to make the 53 man roster.Bersin works hard, has good hands, runs decent routes and has size and good speed. What's not to like.

#2908959 Bucs looking at Incognito, traded for Mankins

No way would Jerry Richardson allow a piece of cow dung like Incognito to be on the Panthers.

#2826399 Clausen going camping

He isnt acting like the bitch Steve Smith is. ..A true professional

I always felt sorry for Clausen. There is no doubting Jimmys  not, and never will be  an elite NFL QB but he was in over his head here in Carolina. The poor guy worked  hard and put forth an effort. He kept his mouth shut and tried to do his best in  adverse situations, often his own fault.

#2826397 The Redskins Commercial the NFL does not want us to see

Posted by PantherFanOne on 21 June 2014 - 09:55 AM

I think she meant to try and make sure all the people are truly Native Americans. How many people over the years have said to you that they are 1/16th <your tribe here>?

I don't think most really give a sh!t. Seems like Native Americans know there are bigger and better things to get upset over. But that just might be the white in me talking...not the human.

You are 100% correct. I am part Native American on both my Mothers and Fathers side. I am not offended by having the name "Redskins" attached to an NFL football team. I have never heard any of my relatives complain about said name and would not be afraid to make a wager that majority  Native Americans are not offended either. This whole situation likely started as a chance to make a money grab years ago and is now beng fueled by a miniority of sob sisters.plus a liberal media that needs to get a life and by inept senators that should be paying attention to the real problems in America.

#2791568 Panthers Have Discussed WR Greg Little... No Plans To Sign Him Yet

Posted by PantherFanOne on 17 May 2014 - 07:27 PM

Quite literally, Greg Little is probably the worst wide receiver that's been seeing significant playing time in the NFL. And even though the Browns are in need of wide receivers, they felt they  didn't need one who was going to be a detriment to the team. If the Panthers are smart they will take heed and follow suit.

#2791545 Panthers to sign Canadian OT

Posted by PantherFanOne on 17 May 2014 - 07:07 PM

DAHeight: 6.08 | Weight: 320| Born: LaSalle, QC | College: Montreal

crop_20210870056.jpg»David Foucault Offensive Tackle  By the Numbers - 2014 CFL Combine:
40-Yard Dash: 5.280s
Bench Press: 22
Broad Jump: 7'9.00"
Vertical Jump: 33.50"
3-Cone: 7.50s
Shuttle: 4.61s

» Justin Dunk's take:
"Potential might be the word that best describes this massive lineman. Foucault has size you can’t teach and the frame to add some weight as well. He proved he is a big, strong and nimble offensive line prospect. The Montreal product led all blockers with a 4.61 shuttle and 7.50 3-cone time, and put up a respectable 22 reps on the bench.

He displayed the type of agility and footwork to make scouts think he has the tools to be a ratio-changer at tackle in the CFL, or at least a very good guard. Foucault has ability to finish off pass rushers, but he needs to do it more consistently and develop a mean streak."

#2742568 What do you want in 1st?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 17 April 2014 - 07:01 PM

I will have no problem if we draft the best WR or OT available at # 28.

#2741394 Kelvin Benjamin loves the panthers

Draft his ass.

While we are at it, we should also draft his complete body. :)

I think he has a drinking problem.

Either that or a severe thinking problem.

#2733595 Ed Dickson visiting the Panthers

Posted by PantherFanOne on 09 April 2014 - 08:51 PM

Former Ravens tight end Ed Dickson would be a good one-two punch together with Olsen in a double TE set. Here's hoping we sign him.

The huddle, where pointing out facts is complaining.

Hold everything. Please stop complaining about someone else complaining. You now have me complaining about your complaining.

#2730380 Panthers Sign Avant to 1 Year Deal

Posted by PantherFanOne on 07 April 2014 - 05:39 PM

Jason Avant sounds like a person of high character, according to this report..

(" Jason Avant is an avid Scrabble player.[8] During Chris Berman's "Fastest Three Minutes" he referred to him as Jason "You Can't Always Get What" Avant.[9] Avant and his wife, Stacy, live in Clementon, New Jersey. He is the son of Jerry Avant and Claudette Patrick. His brother, Edwon Simmons, was a baseball player, who was drafted by Baltimore Orioles and was a safety at San Diego State. He is now a talent scout for a sports agency in Chicago.[10]

Avant is a Christian. Avant has spoken about his faith saying "I devoted my life to Jesus Christ on May 4, 2003. It was a day when, if you can imagine it, your eyes are opened to a whole different light. On that day, I had a consciousness of God that I never really had before. It’s sort of like being in darkness, but you finally start to see. I realized that day that all of the stuff that I learned growing up was backwards, according to the Scripture. It was the day that changed my life. I started realizing that I had a purpose, and every thought from that day on went through a filter of Jesus Christ first. Before I can make a decision I have to think, ʻWould it be pleasing to God?’".)
