#3095677 Thomas Davis on WFNZ Bustin' Loose

Posted by PantherFanOne on 18 November 2014 - 02:31 PM

That may not be true Thomas Davis but it is probably a good thing you take that approach,we don't want you to end up like Jason Avant.

#3095628 Jason Avant Cut

Posted by PantherFanOne on 18 November 2014 - 02:17 PM

oh boy I smell another "locker room issue"

I reallyhope there is a locker room upheavel, maybe it will bring toa  head that Rivera and Shula are not true NFL caliber coaches.

Jason Avant was cut because he said the same thing all of us said,or were thinking. Avant said nothing that wasn't true but still got a ticket out of town, futher proof this team will throw you under the bus if you question their obvious inept style of coaching.

In my opinion, the two main ones that needed released would be Shula and Rivera for their stumbling, bumbling play calling. Those two seemed joined at the hip and need to leave Charlotte on the next flight out.

Josh Norman is my least favorite Panther. Hate his fake swagger when in reality he is below average.

What the fug are you talking about? Josh Norman has a lot of upside and what you're calling swagger is him showing he has confidence in himself, which is a good thing

#3091767 Of course that IDIOT Frank Garcia...

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 November 2014 - 06:19 PM

You mean the staff can't trust themselves.

Don't listen to what Garcia says.

He's always quick to take blame off Rivera and place it squarely on Cam (though he did come around later after the game).

You had no choice but try to get closer to the goal line or score a TD. If Cam would have crapped the bed doing so, then he would be to blame.

However, Rivera crapped the bed by getting scared, never giving himself the best chance to win. So he's the goad instead.

QB's don't always have perfect games. However, if you're hot at the end, you roll with (unless you're Ron Rivera of course)_.

How many QB's have played poorly against the Panthers during a game, just to march down the field at the end and beat the Panthers?.....

Unfortunately, plenty!!

I never want anyone on the Huddle to refer to "Numb Nuts Rivera" as "River Boat Ron" again. Please honor my request.

#3091737 What makes you feel better after another pathetic loss ?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 November 2014 - 06:10 PM

My hope is for the team to get blown out every game the rest of the season so we can look for a new coaching staff and have top picks in each of the first three rounds

I have to fully agree. I never though I would see the day I would want us to lose games, however,I think that time has arrived.

Jusy knowing the Panthers have a bye week coming up and we won't have to suffer, watching them lose

#3088137 How many think we will get blown out by ATL

Posted by PantherFanOne on 15 November 2014 - 07:48 PM

Will win just enough games to miss the playoffs and drafting a top offensive tackle. That would be our luck, lol.

This is my worst case nightmare. We need to pick high, say at least 10 or above, to get a real quality player for the OL,plus help at WR and DB.

#3088069 Any Capologists Out There That Can Explain CJ's Contract

Posted by PantherFanOne on 15 November 2014 - 06:48 PM

I have to agree here if the topic is 2015, it makes no real sense to cut him, but in 2016, different story, the way I see it--unless DG does some tinkering.

For the record, The Jake Delhomme deal, the Williams and Stewart "investment", and the CJ deal are the main reason we are in this mess.  The Jake deal seemed to trigger Marty's madness.  It was beyond stupid.

It all starts at the top with owner, Jerry Richardson. He sat around with his finger up his rear while Hurney created this mess. I dislike Jerry Jones but there's no way he would have let this happened to a team he owned. The same could be said for most of the other NFL team owners,.Further proof why the Panthers have never had back to back winning seasons.

At this point I'm thinking if we don't make playoffs we may as well be complete losers and get top pick

Bingo...I will be pulling for us to win but it would help our draft position if we lost to Atlanta.

#3084337 It's becoming very clear to me

Posted by PantherFanOne on 12 November 2014 - 03:21 PM

I thought that crowd was saying he sabotaged Cam to drive his contract price down to Alex Smith's type of deal.  Yet no, I don't believe in any conspiracy theory.  Now Gettleman just has some wriggle room in coming up with an excuse to get rid of him.  I think he wants to bring his own guy in.  As for my personal feelings about Cam, it's best if we did trade him.  He's done here in Carolina.

I totally agree with you statements.Cam is a great athlete but may never be a QB that fits our long term plan. We may not want a QB that takes a large amount of our cap space, but chose to have an average one and surround him with a lot of talent,it's hard to do both. I am just not certain  the Panthers view Cam as a QB that can put a team on his back and carry it.Whether my assumptions are correct or not,one things certain, decisions will have to be made soon pertaining to his future as a Carolina Panther.

#3074702 Teams that would "break the bank" for Cam Newton....

Posted by PantherFanOne on 09 November 2014 - 08:23 PM

Many here think that athletically gifted, proven winning QBs who shatter many long standing rookie records are a dime a dozen. The even bigger joke is many feel that this young man will not be the highest paid QB in NFL higher, mark my words, he will. I personally feel that if we don't go all out for Cam then the following teams would....

Bills- good team who missed horribly on EJ Manuel

Buccaneers- Two tall and gifted WRs who have nobody to throw it to them

Titans- Zach Mettenberger?

Texans- Ryan Fitzpatrick?

Jets- a joke without a QB, they have playmaking WRs, just nobody to get them the ball

Rams- imagine that team with a legit QB

Vikings- sorry but Teddy aint the answer

Cardinals- if they just paid a 34 y/o QB $50 million, what would they pay a guy on the rise of his career

By the time we are ready to sign Cam some of the teams listed above with be hard up against the salary cap and others will have drafted their QB of the future. Meanwhile, the Panthers should have enough cap space to work out  deal that will satisfy both them and Cam.

#3071973 SI.com ranks Rivera in "Hottest of Hot Seat" Tier

Posted by PantherFanOne on 07 November 2014 - 04:11 PM

Rivera's seat is so hot, he might as well sit on a volcano.

I have always considered Rivera to be a real good LB coach and a decent DC,just not sure he will be a good HC in the NFL, long term. He is making mistakes this year that he shouldn't and seems to have slipped back into the old Ron Rivera we knew, instead of the  River Boat Ron he became, late last year.

#3070999 CBS Sports Mock Draft

Posted by PantherFanOne on 06 November 2014 - 03:52 PM

I hope we don't reach though. I think we win more games and a primo DB may be BPA. Again I also only want in the top half of the first if can play LT.

Google up Iowa's 6'5" 325 lb  OT Brandon Scherff. If half what they say about him is true, then he is the super OT and strong man in the college ranks.

#3070969 get on the gus bus

Posted by PantherFanOne on 06 November 2014 - 03:34 PM

That's who I've been wanting

Gruden knows his X's and O's pertaining to football but his personality seems to have a way of turning players off after he coaches them awhile. I say "NO" to Gruden.

#3068133 Is Cam Newton the next Jay Cutler?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 04 November 2014 - 06:50 PM

Look . I like Cam but let's get real, it's year 4 . He should be close to a finished product by now and he's not. Whether it's coaching or the offense or talent around him etc...This is a legitimate cause for concern.

Exactly. Cam is going to have to step up his game if he expects to be the Panthers franchise QB of the future. I understand a lot of his current problem is lack of talent at WR and OL but a certain amount of the problem rests on his shoulders. He is in his fourth year and is still having the same problems he's had since day one. To realize this does not make one a Cam hater, but someone that can see warning signs they hope are corrected before time runs out. The time clock on this situation is ticking fast ,to think otherwise would be foolish.
