In Topic: Hornets are talking trades for Ramon Sessions and Norris Cole

Prigoni is a solid player. I actually wanted to sign him when he first decided to make the jump to the NBA.

However, at this point Neal's 3.5 expiring deal is worth much more to us that a stop-gap point guard for six weeks.

The wisest decision would be to use the hardship exception and just sign a guy like Nate Robinson or A.J. Price for the rest of the year.

What I don't want to do is take on future salary due to a six week injury.

Have to have 4 players out at least 2 weeks and miss three games to hit the hardship exception. Then it would only last till one of those players came back, so if the Hornets qualified for it...it would only last till Biz came back.

The Hornets article on his Injury has the minimum time out as 6 weeks. Might be the rest of the season and I think that's why the team is actually looking at a trade.

Word is that he could now miss the rest of the season and be out 5-6 months.

According to Dr. Calin Moucha, the associate chief of joint replacement surgery for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, the range of recovery time for a player with that type of injury is typically between four weeks to six months depending on the location and configuration of the tear.

Moucha, who is not performing the surgery, said if the meniscus simply needs to be debrided — or cleaned out — Walker would likely be back in four to six weeks. However, if the meniscus needs to be repaired, Moucha said Walker could miss five to six months.

Ha he could play but doesn't want to. In the thick of a playoff race

Team doesn't want him to play I'd imagine even if he wanted too or could. They did just invest 48 million in him over the next 4 years.

I dont mind the trade for it's long term benefits, but I don't think it helps this years team.
