#952294 Who had the most accurate scouting report on Clausen?

Posted by C47 on 31 December 2010 - 01:10 PM

Technically, he's a vet in 3 days.

And well... he's looked pretty terrible, even for a Rookie.

This is the problem I have with the people who say that Jimmy will turn it around. Every rookie starting QB that has ever amounted to anything in the NFL has shown one thing from start to start......progression.... Even Troy Aikman who was dreadful his rookie year still showed progression from game to game. If anything Clausen has done the opposite from game to game. Outside of one half against Seattle where he made some decent throws the guy has gotten worse each game. People can say whatever they want about our o-line not giving him enough time, but there has been plenty of occasions where he has ample time and he still looks like a scared child in the pocket.....

Don't humor them. They act as if they are worthy of editing. I hope they have the ability to figure it out. If not, include pictures next time. I see your points and the purpose. I don't know why being a dick interests some people, but some are very good at it. If they aren't signing your checks or grading your papers, then don't apologize.

You know some people just joke around with others on the Huddle.....we don't take this poo personally, perhaps you should just relax bro.....

#945503 What would Luck's jersey number be?

Posted by C47 on 28 December 2010 - 08:32 AM

Steve Smith is by far the most marketed player on the team and most popular. His jersey has sold more than any Panther in history. Steve Smith is more important to our team than both Matt Moore & Jimmy Clausen and is more recognizable. How do you feel about Jerry Richardson basing his business off a fiery guy like Steve Smith who's beat up his teammates before? Keep in mind, JR has fired his own sons, quit his pro career over a contract dispute (money), and tanked an entire season over the CBA (money). He's not above doing low character things himself.

I'm confident that Newton is black and Luck is white and that's the only reason you feel the need to derail every single Luck thread. You've become a fuging joke here. Newton isn't the pro prospect that Luck is....period. This isn't about college accolades or even Newtons criminal history. He just doesn't project nearly as well to the pros, you don't take a chance on someone who may or may not get it with the #1 pick. I'm sorry if you take this to mean I hate black people and wear a white hood because I like everyone else here who isn't a blind racist likes Luck more.....

#919326 Auburn QB Newton left off FWAA All-America team

Posted by C47 on 12 December 2010 - 06:09 PM

I don't understand people like you ^, do you want guys to play like assholes? If a guy is an asshole than he has class according to half of the posters definitions of class on this board. Yet when a guy celebrates his wins or his touchdowns with the fans and then thanks God for the ability he has he is considered classless. Not only do individuals need to quit sucking Luck's cock, they need to stop sucking their own.

He's classless because he cheated the game and he acts like nothing happened or it wasn't wrong. He's classless because he's made numerous poor decisions in his college career. He's classless because he said he doesn't have a problem with what his father did. Maybe stop acting like the kid is holier then thou and pay attention to the facts. His family broke the rules, the NCAA isn't punishing them to protect their precious title game.....

#918776 Cam Newton sweeps awards

Posted by C47 on 12 December 2010 - 03:27 PM

whatever makes you feel better about our miserable QB situation. Worst in the league buddy. The Panthers are determined to prove old philosophies about QBing still work in the 21st century and keep getting smashed week after week. Its like watching a dog chase its tail.

I guess Peyton Manning and Tom Brady suck to....last time I checked they weren't breaking too many tackles.....

EDIT: forgot Phillip Rivers, thanks 97...

#908929 Cam Newton????????

Posted by C47 on 06 December 2010 - 12:07 PM

Numerous "issues" is pretty vague. Show me the mugshot. The NCAA said Cam is clean as a whistle. Are you saying the Heisman committee doesnt value "character"?

I'm saying I don't believe word one out of anyone representing the 'AA. They are completely crooked. I believe that Cam Newton was arrested in 2008 for possession of stolen property (because he was). I believe that he was also on the verge of being expelled from Florida for academic violations and I believe there's no fuging way in hell his father shopped his LOI signature without his knowledge. Sorry but that all seems like pretty rationale thinking to me. The people who are saying they believe the NCAA when they say that Cam never knew of his dad asking for a six figure payment for Cam to sign are out to lunch. The kid even told an MSU recruiter he was signing with Auburn because "the money was too much...."

As for your mugshot....ask and you shall receive....

#901276 NCAA: Cam Newton is eligible

Posted by C47 on 01 December 2010 - 03:34 PM

Not mad just wish that all schools were treated equally with infractions. But unfortunately this is how I assumed it would go down....

I think the best term for it would be disgusted. I'm disgusted that the NCAA spent five years trying to find anything and everything to hammer the SC program and they spend less then a month to say "nope, nothing to see here" at Auburn (which was a much more severe allegation). The 'AA had their agents practically living at Heritage Hall for the better part of four years. They even retroactively reversed O.J. Mayo's eligibility after their investigators deemed he was eligible before he even set foot on campus. They checked out all the issues with Tim Floyd and Mayo and said yea you're fine don't worry about it and then two years later changed their minds....But like I said I assumed it would go down like this so I'm certainly not surprised at all....

#880057 panthers sign jeremiah johnson

Posted by C47 on 19 November 2010 - 08:26 AM

Johnson was "the other guy" when Stewart was beasting at Oregon, but he was still a pretty productive back there. He was a bit more shifty then Stew back at Oregon but he also was a good bit lighter to. He was the Ducks change of pace back usually good for 2 or so BIG runs a game. He also played FB in some 2 RB sets for Oregon with both him and Stew on the field. He was used sparingly while Stew was there but the year after Stew got drafted he did rush for 1200 on 168 carries (7.15 average).

Some youtubes of him....

He had a wicked stiff arm at Oregon as well....

#866240 ESPN 30 for 30 : Marcus Dupree

Posted by C47 on 11 November 2010 - 10:48 AM

30 for 30 is one of the best programs on TV. I got home late last night so I DVRed. My favorite 30 for 30 is still The U.

My favorite so far has been the one on Andrés Escobar and the 1994 Columbian World Cup team. Close second would be Marcus Dupree....

I agree with you that I think Iowa will win, but I so want to call Northwestern. They play everyone close. I hope they can pull it off.

Yea it should be a great game. I'm hoping Florida can win Saturday and then go out and shock Auburn in the title game.....

#862659 Not-So-Great Moments in Panthers History

Posted by C47 on 09 November 2010 - 11:40 AM

I have a lot of faith in Armanti, if they play him at QB. Don't think that Montana could do great at receiving punts, or Namath at WR. Just play him where he is used to playing.

Do you realize what you just did there. Comparing Armanti fuging Edwards (a guy who hasn't played a single meaningful snap in the NFL) to NFL Hall of Famers. And people wonder why the majority of this board hates App Homers....
