#2664964 Kalil and Stewart Restructure

Posted by rainwater on 24 February 2014 - 10:38 PM

I <3 Gettlemen and team players.

Neither of those restructures resulted in the player getting less money.  It is funny how fans think the players giving up money in these situations.

Stewart would have little impact anyways.  It is just hard to give touches to 3 running backs.

#2581712 NFL to consider re-seeding playoffs

Posted by rainwater on 02 January 2014 - 11:19 PM

What is the point of afc Nfc anyway.

A few billion dollars I would guess.  At least that is what Fox and CBS pay to get the respective conferences.  Conferences add intrigue that you would not get otherwise.

#2577718 McDermott to interview for Redskins HC this weekend...

Posted by rainwater on 31 December 2013 - 01:48 PM

League rules allow teams to interview assistants that have a playoff bye on this coming Sunday.  I don't see how this will affect his focus.  This happens every year to playoff coordinators.  He probably would have had Sunday off anyways.  If anything it just means he will be more focused to show what he can do with the defense in the divisional round.

#2572754 Ron needs to write the NFL about having a week 17 home game next season

Posted by rainwater on 29 December 2013 - 04:59 PM

Year after year we play away. Saints and ATL don't though. Idc why. Our last home game in week 17 was in 2009

It's not the NFL's fault the Panthers host bowl games in their stadium the last week of the season.

#2567163 .Lafell 1.Ginn 2, and Hixon 3 with Smith out?

Posted by rainwater on 27 December 2013 - 03:00 PM

Smitty wasn't the "#1" receiver to begin with.  My guess is Hixon runs Steve's routes and everyone else stays the same.  Maybe Cam's reads will be different but there doesn't seem to be a point to move all the receivers around.

#2512194 [confirmed] Panthers at Saints is being flexed

Posted by rainwater on 24 November 2013 - 11:17 PM

Flex it to midnight, who cares.  We've got a Tampa team coming in that's won three in a row, and while their season is basically over, they just got a win over a playoff contender on the road today.

We need not look past them, especially since we stomped them in their own house a few weeks ago.  If any team should understand what a forgotten team can do to you late in the season, it should be the Panthers.  That's been our M.O. for the last two years.

Kick Tampa's ass, then we can start thinking about how to beat the panties off Brees and the rest of the mardi gras fags.

The fans can look past who ever they want.  We don't play the game.  Talking about 2 weeks from now is perfectly valid.

#2511042 Officials or announcers?

Posted by rainwater on 24 November 2013 - 06:44 PM

I can accept officials making bad calls.  But how you can review a reception and not even see the receiver drop the ball when he went to the ground is inexcusable.

#2504652 Could we have 3 more primetime games this regular season?

Posted by rainwater on 22 November 2013 - 11:35 AM

Only week 14 has a realistic chance.  Anyone who thinks they will flex them 3 weeks in a row is living in a fantasy world.

#2491840 fug you drew brees

Posted by rainwater on 17 November 2013 - 09:20 PM

WTF did you just type?

49ers losing gave the Panthers the #1 wild card.  The Panthers still have the 2 division games to over take the Saints.  But putting distance between them and other wild card contenders is important.

#2485604 Dan Connor signing with Panthers today

Posted by rainwater on 13 November 2013 - 01:51 PM

Probably need some special teams backup with Klein playing more on defense.

#2485243 Beason Stills Seems Miffed

Posted by rainwater on 13 November 2013 - 10:44 AM

Lots of reports said he went to Rivera to ask for a trade.  Considering he basically just got benched it makes total sense.

#2466995 So... Panthers control their own destiny.... right?

Posted by rainwater on 04 November 2013 - 04:17 PM

They don't control their own destiny though because they must count on other teams losing in order to advance.

Are you sure?  10 wins should put them in automatically as a wild card given the weak NFC East.  Even if it doesn't, these teams in the NFC control their destiny:

San Fran

Green Bay

If any of those teams wins out, then they don't have to rely on any other team.  Again, it is an over used term.

#2461693 John Fox has "suspected" heart attack

Posted by rainwater on 02 November 2013 - 09:40 PM

It looks like quite a few misreported this as a heart attack.  There's a huge difference between dizziness and a heart attack.
