#3034815 Clinton Portis on WFNZ yesterday....

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 21 October 2014 - 10:20 AM

Common sense really. I have always thought Cam would test free agency.

In fact, he may consider a slightly lower offer to a team with a stout offensive line. This would only extend the chances of him having a long healthy career and in turn make more $$ in the long run.

Cam is not particularly tied down to Carolina. If a larger market comes calling with more money to spend, he will go.

I don't think our FO is stupid enough to let a franchise QB go. Well at least I hope they not but you never know with Gettleman. He might just pull Cam in a corner and say he isn't good enough and only a read option QB.

#3032189 Who Will Lose By The Most Points Next Week In The NFC South?

#3032140 Why winning the NFCS is so important

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 October 2014 - 10:49 PM

True. And we aren't playing great right now.

But I would rather be in division lead half way through the season than not, even if we are playing bad.

Especially with the late manageable schedule.

I can agree with that. It's a must that we play better and it starts Sunday when we play Seattle.

#3031908 Rivera is Losing the Team

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 October 2014 - 09:37 PM

rivera is just another jim zorn or tom cable or random shitty coach

he just fell ass backwards into a string of wins last season. it was an anomaly not the usual

1 winning season in 4 is enough to get fired

Too bad Riverboat Ron got a new contract. But if this team continue to suffer I can see him getting let go. John Fox was fired because he couldn't put back to back winning seasons together. Should we keep Rivera if he can't?

#3031850 Can we ever become a great team with Rivera at the helm

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 October 2014 - 09:25 PM

We haven't became a great team yet so probably no. This team is still making mistakes that we seen from them in Riverboat Ron first season. Only this time we are getting blown out and teams are dropping damn near 40 on us a game.

#3030558 post game whines...i mean excuses...i mean tweets

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 October 2014 - 03:55 PM

It seems like this team only plays good when Ron Rivera is on the hot seat. If things don't change soon and despite his new contract he needs to be let go. His IMO was suppose to be on the defensive side of the ball. His defense has got torched every game we have played this season. If he can't fix that then why is he our coach?

#3018839 RR's presser....sending tape of twists to NFL

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 13 October 2014 - 12:30 PM

Can a reporter straight up ask "Ron, is there any possible chance Hardy is playing after 6 games?"

I think the NFL has to let him comeback after the Green Bay game. Why hold a person out who case might not even be heard again until 2015? I just don't think it's fair to hold him out longer then 6 games, especially with the new ruling for domestic violence first time offense is a 6 games suspension. Rivera keeps saying that Hardy will be back at the appropriate time. I hope after Green Bay we can get him back.

#3018301 Breaking down the Bernard touchdown run

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 13 October 2014 - 08:26 AM

I don't.Seriously you people complain non-stop about how Hurney put us in cap hell, then you whine when Gettleman doesn't give out big paydays to slightly above average players.

you want to build around Cam and Luke - you can't give out deals like that right now

. Truthfully I don't know how much Mike Mitchell was asking from the Panthers. Pittsburg offered him a decent contract and he took it. But I don't think it's always a bright idea to let half of the team go every season and try to fill in roster spots with dollar general players.

#3015947 Really? Fire rivera?

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 12 October 2014 - 04:14 PM

Why are you guys so damn mad over a tie game? What would you be saying if rivera called for a qb sneak up the middle like the huddle wanted, and we didn't convert? I'm sure you guys would not be saying "oh we lost but at least we tried to convert" no you'd be saying "Fire Rivera!" Still. You just can't win on the huddle ron... 3-2-1 looks better than 3-3 to me, good job rivera, I'd rather have tied than lose unlike these guys.

His job is to lead his team to victory. We had them on 4 and 1 in OT. Cam could've won us the game. He went for it on 4 down throughout the game. Why not in OT?

#2996287 Mark it down, Carolina wins by 10 or more Sunday

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 03 October 2014 - 09:55 PM

Statement game Sunday. We getting into the Bears a**! Panthers 40 Bears 10

#2995671 fozzy ,reeves and chris obi

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 03 October 2014 - 11:38 AM

Who would you give the majority of the carries to on sunday? im going with obi just because he is a mix of stewart and tolbert and shula doesn't open his playbook up and just leans on running in between the tackles .
One more thing if we fail to beat chicago do we pull the string on shula ? or wait until the offseason?

The offense isn't really the problem. The problem is we have to play better as a team and be more discipline as a team. The biggest issue we have on offense is the oline needs to protect and run block better. It doesn't matter who we have a RB. If the Oline plays better we can move the ball.

#2995488 An interesting point was made on a show this morning...

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 03 October 2014 - 09:34 AM

I really just believe our Oline needs more time and experience together. I truly believe as the season progresses, they will eventually get better no matter what the opposing defense is running.

#2994124 Good news, guys

I thought you saved a bunch of money on your car insurance by switching to Geico.

#2993341 Cam's Ankle

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 01 October 2014 - 06:57 PM

I've said it before I'll say it again: this is the sneaky story line under the steaming pile of crap- steve smith, hardy, and injuries.

We all overlooked this surgery, and apparently Cam did too.

Zod's evidence is that he is running around pregame goofing off which is all fine and good, but is 100% less intense and less psychologically challenging than playing in an NFL game. It probably doesn't hurt to walk around on, but getting twisted to the ground by a 300 pound man will get the job done.

I love Cam and will never question either his: toughness, love for the game, or commitment to winning. This post isn't about that.

Right now things might look bad, but we're all focusing on stuff that is going to (eventually) go away/get resolved. But if Cam does serious damage to his ankle - very possible with all the hits he is taking- things go from marginally bad to nuclear. Cam's health is paramount to this franchise's future.

Throw in a fluke rib injury and I'm not surprised the coaching staff is hellbent on Cam staying in the pocket. The problem there is- our offense line isn't creating a pocket.

For all of you with their PhD we have:
healing ankle of the pillar of our franchise + possibly the worst Panther's offensive line ever = bad.

Let's all hope this young offensive line improves exponentially as the season progresses.

Let's just have faith that the Oline gets better and Cam ankle gets better as the season progresses.
