#3331655 Andrus Peat

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 23 April 2015 - 10:17 AM

Andrus Peat has the ability to become one of the best tackles in this year class. He has a lot of the measurable's you look for in a tackle prospect. He is huge guy at 6'7 an 34 3/8" arms weighing 313 pounds with 10 5/8" hands. The frame that Peat is carrying is massive with his huge lower thick half, and the fact he is only 20 years old he will have time in the NFL to add to that frame. A lot of analysts is saying Peat is likely to go top 10 or 15. I think teams will sleep on him and he likely falls. He played good in the PAC 12 and Leonard Williams one of the best DE prospects in this class. Williams said earlier in the week that Peat was the best tackle he faced all year. I am hoping that he falls to the Panthers at 25. That would be a dream scenario for us fans and Gettleman.

#3331267 Which two round scenario appeals more to you?

I would go with C and not look back. Shaq will be a game changer in the NFL. He has the tools to play SS and OLB and very instinctive. Shaq would make our defense elite. Cedric was consider as one of the best OT's prospect in this class before the injury. If he can stay healthy and develop more he could be a potential steal in this on day 2. I'm really hoping we can land one of these players.

#3326855 49er player suggests Harbaugh might be 'clinically insane'

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 April 2015 - 05:45 PM

I have to disagree with this. You don't find coaches like Jim Harbaugh too often. The man has been a winner everywhere he coached at and he has been a damn good coach. The NFL will want him back in the next couple of years.

#3326455 A "1st Round" OT dropping to 57

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 April 2015 - 06:48 AM

Thats fine... it's ok to disagree but, If he didnt tear his acl we wouldnt even be talking about him. No chance to land him.

You're right we wouldn't have a shot because he would go top 10 or 15. But since he has had that injury you can only expect him to go late first round or second day. Gettleman definitely has his eyes set on Cedric and it could be at 25.

Just like Hornets coach Mark Price, we better enjoy Ricky while we have him. Gotta feeling over the next few years he is going to be...

Maybe it will be inside the Panthers organization.........hmmm.

I would love to see him as OC in the future.

#3324261 Philly Brown 200 pounds?

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 16 April 2015 - 11:57 PM

@phillybrown10: I'm almost 200 pounds smh I don't like this [emoji23][emoji23]

It looks like Philly is packing on some weight and muscles this offseason. If he can keep his speed he could definitely become a problem for opposing defenses.

#3315240 RUMOR: Panthers looking to move up to 16-20th pick

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 07 April 2015 - 09:24 PM

It's really pure speculation and Gettleman won't make this move until draft day if he does go that route. I think the Panthers will stay put at 25 and hope someone like Peat or Flowers fall in their laps. The only way Gettleman makes this deal if WR or OT start flying off the board if that's who they are targeting in the first round. But I think we are going to stand still at 25.

#3313736 Would you be open to this Star trade? (very hypothetical)

Panthers draft Todd Gurley in the first round. Draft Shaq Thompson at 57 in the second round. Cedric Ogbuehi falls to the 3 round panthers trade a 5 to move up and draft him.

2015 Pro Day Notes: Monday, March 30, 2:40 p.m.
By Tony Pauline, http://draftinsider.net/

Samford
Almost two dozen teams were on hand for safety Jaquiski Tartt, including defensive back coaches from the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns.

Tartt, who met with the Browns and Lions yesterday, ran 40 times of 4.45 with the wind and 4.54 against the wind on a slippery field that was still recovering from a weekend storm. Tartt then performed well in position drills, displaying good ball skills.

Also taking part in the workout was Miles cornerback Travis Lee, who stood on his times from an earlier workout. The St Louis Rams, who’ve been hot on Lee's trail, again commented on how much they like the cornerback after watching him today.

#3302559 Panthers claim OT Jonathan Martin

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 27 March 2015 - 04:33 PM

This was a good move by Gettleman. I liked Jonathan Martin when he was coming out of Stanford. He hasn't really found a place to stick yet and the Panthers can potentially be the right fit for him. What he does well is he is a absolute mauler in the run game. If anyone knows the Panthers, they know we want to establish the run game first. This was a cheap move and we don't have to reach for a tackle in the draft now. This move could pay off big time when TC rolls around. I'm officially on the Jonathan Martin bandwagon!
