#3097819 Still in for Rivera~

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 19 November 2014 - 08:29 PM

I realize that I am no doubt in the minority for still believing in this coach. I won't even say I am the 'silent majority'...but I believe in Ron.

Here is why:
I don't know if the play calling is his fault or Shula. It seems to me that this is a critical area that needs to be better addressed.
Alot (everyone?) has jumped on him for his handling of playing for a field goal. I will watch the game again - but what I saw was:
A kicker that hasnt missed under 50 yards. Close to automatic as you get. Why NOT trust your kicker?
As Cam says...hindsight is 50-50... :) Anyway...I didnt mind the play calling. I think he would have been flambeyyed (s?) if they threw a pass and it was intercepted.

I remember last year. Very well. Many fans (right here) wasnt happy with Ron and the same old witch hunt was on until they started winning. I refuse to believe he is not the same guy.

Consider- consider what we all know. Handcuffed by the cap, poor play, injuries, and a thug getting paid doing nothing for you..how would any of us play the hand dealt to Ron?

I am all about the blame game and wow -there is alot to go around. Oline, Shula...Gettleman to an extent (misfires on who he brought in this time...)...Cam (love him....but he hasnt been the same this year...Shula's fault?)

Anyway- I don't want Ron's head. I think he can lead us to where we all want to go.

(nerd alert...this makes me want to say "I believe in Harvey Dent".../shrug).

You refused to believe he is the same guy? Unfortunately for us he is still the same guy. He is the same guy that coach the most conservative football in critical moments in a game. He is still the same guy that had one winning season out of three. Don't get me wrong Rivera doesn't deserve the entire blame for this season but he does deserve a lot of it. At the end of the day, he is still the same Ron Rivera looking lost most of the time. He deserves to be let go because I have seen enough from him in 4 yrs to know he won't be the guy leading us to the Super Bowl.

#3096322 Win..... and you're IN

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 18 November 2014 - 07:52 PM

Dang skippy. Hosting the Lions, Seahawks, or Cowboys is very doable. Heck the #1 seed is injury ravaged with a backup QB. We may even host the NFCCG at BOA if a team like the 49ers get hot. Not kidding. Just get in.

After we gave up a game like we did Sunday you still have confidence? I know it's tough to be a die hard fan but sometimes bro the proof is in the pudding.

#3095624 Jason Avant Cut

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 18 November 2014 - 02:17 PM

I'm not as upset about Avant getting cut as much as staff is not being held to same standard as the players are.

No accountability for the coaching staff. They just cut someone new every week because they think they are doing it right but players are failing them.

To a degree they are right, but at some point you have to think "maybe it is us"

None of this BS surprises me. This coaching staff is looking for anything to save face and to say this mess is not their fault. Rivera and his staff should've been let go 2 years ago. They cut Jason freaking Avant because he spoke out about the horrible play calling and game management and he is 💯 percent correct. This staff needs to go at the end of the season.

Cam is already overpaid by 21 million, one winning season, one playoff loss and mediocre play, he is MAYBE worth vet minimum and even then im not so sure hes even worth the roster spot. Why cant you guys see he is clearly a sub par QB on pretty much every level, what a complete and utter disaster if we pay Cam a hundred million, you think D Will and Stew contracts set this franchise back?! Lol just wait if Cam gets a hundred mill deal. Disaster.. complete disaster. Let Csm walk, draft a QB in the 2nd round and have him sit behind DA for a season or two. Do it the old fashion way, let Cam go be a backup for some other team. Im done with Cam, he is hopeless. He is a lame duck and you are blind if you dont see it. Cam wants a hundred million and no way Gman pays him anything remotely close to that, as a result Cam will walk.

How could you even let your brain process some stuff like this? This makes absolutely no sense. You don't let franchise QB's walk no matter what. Do you even know how hard it is to find QB's out there. It's not like they grow on trees and you can pick anyone and poof you have a pro bowl QB. Our problem with this team is that we haven't giving Cam the right weapons as well as the protection to keep Cam up. Not only he doesn't have weapons and protection but he doesn't have coaching either which is hurting him the most. You get Cam a legit offensive minded coach and a good OC that knows how to develop QB's you're looking at a Super Bowl winning QB.

Those plays don't even work in Madden.

#3086565 Did Cam call players meeting?

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 14 November 2014 - 12:17 PM

The difference is Smitty called the players only meeting last year and chewed players out. This year I don't know if that's going to work with Cam. Decoud did say Cam had one with them and he apologize. What I don't like about this team is that we don't have that dog in the locker room who isn't scared to speak his mind and get players to follow. Every locker room in the league has one except ours.

#3086533 Quarterback Coaching

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 14 November 2014 - 11:56 AM

That all depends on who we are bringing in. You're mighty confident that this organization will hire an offensive minded coach, let alone a competent one.

Well the way I look it is that they have a choice. They can waste Cam's ability or stunt his development or they can make a choice and get someone in here that can fix our offensive woes. I'm not saying that it's needs to be or that it's going to be a offensive minded coach. But this team needs change because the defensive coordinators Richardson has been hiring hasn't been cutting it so change could benefit.

We've already ruined Cam and his growth. I really don't think it's possible to get his confidence back unless it's a change of scenery. Not to mention that is 4 years wasted that Cam could have been learning the game if he had ANY good offensive coaching. It's actually quite sad. There's always time to grow and progress, but he isn't going to find it here. Good post BTW, even though it made me kind of depressed.

If he can get a new coaching staff he can get a lot better.

#3086253 The Gettleman Experience

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 14 November 2014 - 07:32 AM

I see where you are going in your post and you do have valid points. But people need to leave that notion alone about Greg Hardy. Yes he is a good player but he is not the whole reason why our defense has decline. You defense doesn't decline like that with one or two players gone. It's the team scheme that's failing and the players staying discipline and using correct fundamentals that's failing. That my friend falls on this coaching staff. Every team in the league has weakness but it's up to the coaches to hide them or exploit them. Our coaching staff can't do neither and that's the reason we won't go far with this team and coaching staff.

#3082570 1st take destroys the Panthers FO, "Panthers Sold Cam Newton Out"

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 11 November 2014 - 06:34 PM

We started out 1-3 last year. It wasn't until there were rumors of his job being in jeopardy that he made a real change.

I think most people want very much for Rivera to succeed here, they don't want to start over again, I'm one of them. But I'm not going to lie to myself. He hasn't improved. We're still witnessing the same poor gameplanning, lack of adjustments, and inadequate in game management.

This is why I want this coaching staff gone. All teams in the NFL has weakness. It's up to the coaching staff to exploit weakness or hide weakness. This coaching staff can't do either and Ron Rivera is still making first year mistakes. This is the reason we need change now or this coaching staff will ruin Cam development.

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 08 November 2014 - 05:27 PM

I'm going out on a limb and I think we get the win easily on Monday night. This game sparks our run and we go on to win out and make the playoffs with the Panthers going deep.

#3071038 CBS Sports Mock Draft

Posted by Bj-Monster23 on 06 November 2014 - 04:23 PM

Google up Iowa's 6'5" 325 lb OT Brandon Scherff. If half what they say about him is true, then he is the super OT and strong man in the college ranks.

Also look at Andrus Peat. He handle Lenoard Williams from USC.
Peat and Scherff are the only two I feel that can be that LT than can anchor our offensive line for the next 10 years or plus that's in this draft.

apparently Stephen A hasn't spent any time learning our offseason and cap situation. sounds about right, shooting opinion based drivel from the hip with no research into facts. <-- why this show makes you dumber.

I apologize I didn't read it fully. Carry on!
