#3071996 DE Greg Hardy: 'I want to play'

Posted by Manos on 07 November 2014 - 04:42 PM

Technically the NFL didn't do anything to Hardy. Everyone keeps blaming Goddell for this but it wasn't him who deactivated Hardy it was JR. The panthers could and should have played this like the 49ers and their owner did with McDonald but JR didn't have the balls to take the scrutiny that came with Hardy playing. All the NFL did was give us an extra roster spot so the team could make Hardy go away while paying him so as to avoid any union or civil lawsuits.

Anybody else pissed off at the shot of that ref and McCarthy cutting up and laughing? Or am I just seeing biases because I'm upset we got curbstomped?

#3019320 Hurney losing his poo on radio right now.

Posted by Manos on 13 October 2014 - 04:03 PM

UNess Cam wins two Super Bowls and throws for 500 yards and rushes for 200 yards in both games people are going to cotinuse to saY stupid stuff about Cam

Good for Hurney. You cant deny his love and passion for his guys.

They would just bitch about how Cam is all about himself and his own numbers. At this point about the only thing that would make the media stop bashing Cam would be if he came out as gay or if something super screwed up happened to him off the field (family tragedy etc). Then they'd be viewed as out of touch, insensitive assholes for hating him and they couldn't have that.

#3015982 Fire Ron Rivera

Posted by Manos on 12 October 2014 - 04:16 PM

Yes because Ron cause Cotchery and Avant to drop balls and its his fault the defense is as useful as a slippery door mat!

Can't blame him for the drops but defense is his thing. So yeah I do blame him for the defense.

#3015829 Cam Newton MVP

Posted by Manos on 12 October 2014 - 04:08 PM

That 3 and out in the 4th quarter where Cam held onto the ball and got sacked, overthrew a receiver on 2nd down, and forced a pass to a triple-covered Kelvin Benjamin which resulted in an interception was not clutch at all.

What do you call throwing a perfect ball that would have won the game in OT if it hadn't been dropped in the endzone? Cam did everything he could in this game. He is not the reason we didn't win.

Cam needs to run - you are the dumbass.

The only dumbasses are the people saying he should be running. If you watched the game you would see he physically can't do it right now. It isn't a coach thing or a scheme thing its a physical "Cam is slower than Peyton Manning" thing. If he was healthy and not running I'd agree with you but right now it isn't feasible to expect that from him.

Kinda hilarious ain't it?

If Cam pulled that poo after, say, running for a 1st down behind by 28 points in the 4th quarter, it would be a sign of his "immaturity".

Luke does it, its a "never surrender attitude of a leader".

Hilarious.

I hate playing the racism card but.....what else can you attribute that to?

Also despite being a shell of his full potential due to injuries and terrible oline play Cam has out played Luke by a mile this year.

Hearing Clippers could trade Jared Dudley Reggie Bullock and #28th pick for Henderson. Just a huge rumor right now but it is confirmed the Clippers want Hendo.

Trade would make my day.

I would love that trade for us. I really hate hendo's fit with our roster though so if all we got was a second rounder I'd be ecstatic.

#2814725 Jordan Wants To Add Superstar

If Melo comes in and plays the 4 and we find a way to get a legitimate deep threat at the 2 we could be a really good team.

#2813908 Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs

Posted by Manos on 08 June 2014 - 11:54 PM

Btw, if you guys are going to quote me... do it correctly.

I said Kobe was all-business, not business-like.

All business means that he was all about the game and he never tried to be bigger than the game, it was all about winning.

Then you have LBJ prancing around doing Cam Newton's celebration... I mean come on.

If all Kobe cared about is winning he would have made it work with Shaq. As opposed to running him out of town so he could be "the man". All Kobe cares about is being better than Jordan. He never gave a poo about anything else.

Now as to the topic at hand Lebron does flop and bitch way too much for my taste. However, it doesn't remotely make him a terrible person. Which is how a lot of people want him portrayed.

James is single handedly keeping Miami in this game. Spurs better go break the ac quick.

#2805507 Friday NBA Draft Workouts

Posted by Manos on 31 May 2014 - 04:49 PM

MKG definitely has some positives, but that hitch in his jumper will never be fixed. I've never seen a guy with a form like his turn it around. Same thing for guys who are bad on the free throw line...they're just always bad at the charity stripe.

As far as his positives:

He has great length and athleticism. He's good at finishing on the fast break. He's a solid rebounder. He's a good not great individual defender. He would be a great piece if all he was expected to be was a role player or if he could make a defense pay for playing off.

All in all....he was probably over drafted because he benefited from a great Kentucky team. If we kept him I wouldn't be sad, but I just happen to think our best return on investment would be to trade him because he still has "upside."

Once again he has some positives, he deserves to be in the NBA....he's just replaceable for us, and we could probably use him to slingshot ourselves forward.

I understand where you are coming from I just don't want us to trade him and he puts it all together somewhere else.

#2805066 Friday NBA Draft Workouts

Well that's all affected by having MKG on the floor. When the defense has a 5 on 4 advantage shooting percentages tend to slip for the rest of the team. In basketball I'll take a great offense over a great defense just about any day of the week. It would be awesome if MKG was a power forward. Generally opposing SF's represent a critical defender....they can usually defend guards or help on doubles in the post. When you have a utility defender that can just leave MKG alone on the perimeter and free range help on our scorers it causes a problem. MKG might be responsible for preventing 8 points a game, but he's costing us about 15 a game on offense.

Well I think his negative impact on the offense gets overblown a lot. He really isn't that bad an offensive player. Yeah he can't shoot but he is a great finisher and offensive rebounder. If we had a competent offensive scheme that encouraged him to slash/cut to the basket for easy buckets when teams ignored him it would do wonders for his confidence and in turn his game/stats. As it is now all we seem capable of calling is Al postups and kemba "bail us out". Now I'll admit I'm a big mkg fan so I'm probably being over homerish but those are my thoughts on the subject.

Lebron made the right play in my opinion. Bosh was wide open but the shot just didnt fall. Cant blame a guy for trusting his teammates. If he had made the shot no one would be saying anything.

Yeah Lebron gets a ton of flack for passing to open teammates at the end of games and he shouldn't. He is making the correct basketball play. That being said he should have played waaay better tonight.
