#3111322 Does anyone still believe...

Posted by PanthersFanNY on 30 November 2014 - 04:06 PM

I think that everyone, including JR, believes he should be fired. You can't watch a team coached by him and not think that.

I want him fired as much as anyone, but I just don't see JR pissing away that money. I think JR knows that Rivera should go, but he loves money more than he loves winning.

#3095649 Whose remains will we be scrapping from underneath the bus after the Vikes?

"This guy named Jeremy Igo has been fomenting discontent on some internet chat room and I think the negativity got to our players."

#3091395 Does Rivera have a chance at staying another year?

Posted by PanthersFanNY on 16 November 2014 - 05:02 PM

Firing Rivera after a contract extension does not bode well for JR's pie charts.

He'll be here another year as much as we all wish he wouldn't be.

#3055479 Game Of Thrones Grown Up Talk. Do Not Enter Unless You Have Finished All The...

In case any die hard fan is wondering, A World of Ice and Fire is a must buy. The pictures in it are awesome and the writing is interesting if you're a fan of the series and want to know more about the world. A lot of it you'll know, some you won't. I'm only about 35 pages in.

Also, don't get the Kindle version. Get hardback. It's worth it.

#2987601 Shula will be gone after this year.

Posted by PanthersFanNY on 29 September 2014 - 09:28 AM

Shula is average to below average in every single offensive category since his hire as OC. He should be fired.

The argument that the offensive line is terrible so it's not Shula's fault isn't a good one. They are awful, but other teams have similarly bad offensive lines and yet they can put up points. Even in 2013 when the offensive line wasn't terrible, Shula still ran a below average offense. That argument is a crutch and it can't mask how inept Shula actually is as an OC.

The team has numerous issues, but IMO Shula is one of the biggest.

It's funny that none of us were surprised by it, even though it turned out to be not true.

Lol wut?

I'd be interested in hearing why you believe in hell being it isn't mentioned once in the bible.

I've been trying to avoid posting in this toxic thread, but I just had to respond to this post.

Are you saying that the actual word "Hell" is not in the bible or that the place of "Hell" is not mentioned at all in the Bible?

I thought this episode was good. I'm so glad that they FINALLY had an Oberyn scene where he wasn't banging something and also mentioned his daughters. I also loved his line "I can't say that name without getting sad, and after I get sad... I get angry."

Fug that, if these people have been convicted and it is without a dought them that did it then kill them rough. What's cruel and unusual can be dissected one way or another. If he or she is a murder/rapist the let him/her die a horrible painful death, I see nothing cruel or unusual about sending a diving terrible person to a terrible death.

I don't think the argument here is whether or not people feel empathy for the murderer, it's whether or not what happened can be construed as cruel and unusual punishment. That's specifically prohibited in the Constitution. The Constitution doesn't prohibit cruel and unusual punishments except in the cases of rape and murder, it prohibits all cruel and unusual punishment. It's pretty obvious that what happened in the case is cruel and unusual, whether or not I think the convicted man deserved it or not.

If the death penalty is going to continue, the government offices carrying out the sentences need to find a better way to do it besides buying whatever lethal combination of drugs they can find and hoping for the best.

gonna get it, but when it's not $60

I'd be willing to bet you can get a used copy now, or soon, at any local game shop because of the short length and limited replay value.

#2656457 The Last of Us

Posted by PanthersFanNY on 18 February 2014 - 09:06 AM

Has anyone else played the DLC they just released for this, The Last of Us: Left Behind?

I finished it yesterday. It's a pretty steep $15 for only 2 hours or so of game play, but it was the same quality of the original game so I think it was worth it. I found it pretty challenging and the story was great. You only play as Ellie and it flips back and forth between two different timelines, one before the original game and one when Ellie was saving Joel after he got impaled during their escape from the University of Colorado.

Worth it IMO, but it really only adds a couple hours to the story without much else. They've said it's their last planned single player DLC.
