In Topic: Why did you become a Panther fan?

25 July 2014 - 09:55 PM

I learned my cousin was dating a professional football player named Dan Morgan in the summer of 2003.  I was in my college years and had never been fan of sports other than the teams I had played on in high school.  Skeptical of a family member dating a high profile athlete, I tuned into that years opening game to see what this guy was all about.  Panthers v. Jacksonville Jags with Rodney Pete at the helm.  I quickly lost interest in the game and began to focus on my 12 pack.  At one point in the game a friend commented, "Holy poo!  They just changed their QB!"  With my interest piqued, I went on to watch the comeback and became mesmerized by the hero that was Jake Delhomme that year.  I have been hooked on sports since that game.  The thrill of that comeback literally changed the course of my life into one of fandom.

This excites me.

This should show you every reason you need to know why fans hate Bonnell.  He is commenting on failure before it even happens, almost as if he is wishing to a fuging genie, and then disguises it with a question mark.  He's just a snarky douche-tool that comes off like he thinks the whole world owes him a handy.

I don't understand this theory that we helped the Heat. We bilked them out of 2 picks and got the guy we wanted. It's about helping the Hornets, not the Heat. Napier has to live up to Lebron's hype. Wouldn't it be funny if Lebron walked anyways and the Heat had to build around Napier. And how about that Bill Simmons jackass. He was so salty that the Heat got the guy they targeted. He's such a Celtics homer, I don't understand why or how he became an NBA analyst. A Boston Superfan blogger is all he ever was to me.

I agree.  The way I see it is that Cho knew Miami wanted Napier and picked him up first to hold him for ransom.  Cho said his information led him to be confident that Houston would not pick PJ.  Both teams got the player they were targeting, but Cho managed pick up some extra picks due to position and savvy.  If anything, who stole assets from Miami.

Didn't read the thread. Is this where I sign the soccer petition with my blood?

Also, American/German/Anunnaki whatever... Jermaine Jones is a badass.
