#3031516 the official "Dave Gettleman fuging sucks" thread

Posted by tailg8or on 19 October 2014 - 07:49 PM

All im saying is its pretty easy to rush the passer when you know its a run play. Its also not Gettlemans fault both our OGs are injured

Agree, when your down by 30 points (LOL), the d-line can pin their ears back.  Even tougher when you are playing against a defensive guru like Capers.  I don't think it was any better before our OGs got hurt though.

Unfortunately, we have a combination of inadequate personnel and Shula as our coordinator.

Yes!  Finally .... I was beginning to wonder if you changed sides with all the Kuechly photos.

#3002480 Panther fans!

Crowd noise was pretty typical for BOA, loud at times.  Good news is that we didn't let the Bears chants get going.

Turnout for the Bears was similar to Steelers.  Of all the teams that travel well, I like Bears' fans.  Hardcore, salt of the earth types that like to party, love their team, have fun tailgating and all hold their breath waiting for Cutler to make mistakes.  BOA may have set a record for beer sales at a 1:00 game.

Thanks Jeremy. Great coverage as usual.

So much for our veteran pro bowl safeties. DeCoud looks lost and does a better job of interfering with Panthers making tackles than actually making tackles.

Seriously ... what did they think happened in the elevator? Was not a matter of principle or integrity for them, strictly PR.

Thanks Jeremy.  Great coverage.

The announcers commented about the fans boo'ing the Bucs offense after one of Luke's big tackles.  It sounded a lot like the 'Luuuuuuke' chant at BOA.  Were the Panther fans making some noise today?

Don't be surprised when Anderson moves the ball downfield and spreads it to different WRs.  Steelers will play a lot of backups and despite popular opinion, Anderson is a decent QB with good accuracy.

Who said he doesn't play with ideal violence?

#2901484 My last shot of Steve Smith as a Panther....

Posted by tailg8or on 21 August 2014 - 04:55 PM

He caught our only td that game. Will always be a Panther to me. I wish him success in Baltimore, except when he plays us. I am just thankful he didnt end up with the Pats or 49ers, as was rumored.

PRO:  We play Bucs first week of the season.  New coach, new system and some new players.  Best match-up during week 1 that we could have hoped for.

#2897352 Daniel Jeremiah's Pre Draft Write Up on Luke

Actually, he does play with ideal violence. He doesnt play with wreckless violence.

Luke brings the wood but rarely overplays because he is trying to bring the wood.

#2892691 A trade conspiracy theory....

Posted by tailg8or on 16 August 2014 - 12:03 PM

A trade, huh? Who is out there with Alexander's potential at OT that we can trade for?

Titans and Lions are the only teams that come to mind.

I think it would be hardy in a trade before Alexander.

#2866508 The truth is Steve Smith is probably better right now, than anyone on our roster

Posted by tailg8or on 27 July 2014 - 12:28 PM

The fact that you were in Summer School is enough to me that I shouldn't take anything you say serious.

Fact that he is in summer school means he is busting his a$$ this summer to improve himself. Good for you Ace.

Yes, smitty is probably better than any WR on our roster. I would have liked to see him and KB on the field. That said, my hunch is that he wouldnt have prepared as hard for his final Panther season and would have been a shell of his former self. Now, he has a chip on his shoulder again ... which is when he's at his best. He pretty much said he is working harder this offseason.

That said, Avant & Cotchery > Lafell & Ginn in Shulas system. WRs are a push from last year. If the offense implodes (not like they were great last year), it will be the OL and/or Shula.
