Posted by tailg8or on Yesterday, 08:07 AM

Prediction ....   Cam gets engaged during the offseason.  Just hope he has better taste than Hardy.

Zod absolutely has to get a photo of he and the riverboat together again.

And the tears in Rons eyes as father and son are reunited.

#3130563 New Orleans Fans Cheering When Cam Took Late Hit

Posted by tailg8or on 11 December 2014 - 08:42 PM

Anybody surprised? The lack of class that this entire organization exhibits from Payton all the way down to the fan base is why they are the most disliked team in the nfc South

If Hurricane Katrina never happened, they would be most disliked team in nfl.

Apple and pumpkin.  Seriously, I weigh 5 lbs more right now than yesterday morning.  Back to the gym in the morning.

#3106962 Picking 8th vs 21st

Posted by tailg8or on 27 November 2014 - 08:40 PM

Rather than looking at who was picked 8th and 21st, you should look at all the players that were taken between 8 and 21.  Its senseless to argue that there really isn't a difference between 8 and 21, because there is and its big.

Hoping your 3-7-1 team ends up with a top 10 pick doesn't make you a 'bad' fan as some would suggest.  On the contrary, it's hope that we can fill glaring holes with studs that will wear a Panther uniform for the next decade or so (i.e. Gross).  We even have a chance at getting first round talent in the second round if we pick in the top third.

If the Panthers were competitive and had a shot at making a run in the playoffs, everybody would be on board.  However, as of today, it doesn't appear that any NFC South team has a chance of making a run in the playoffs.  Instead, it's more about who will lose the fewest games vs. who will make a run.  If the scenario is that we limp into the playoffs solely because the NFC South sucks and get blown out first round by the wild card team ... yes, I would rather have the 8th pick.

No worries, Shula is aware of the forecast and will make all necessary adjustments for us to move the ball and be successful ..... ..... bahhhh ha ha.

#3092848 Rivera's Blunder - Illustrated

Posted by tailg8or on 17 November 2014 - 08:27 AM

Agree 100% Jeremy.  Could literally feel it suck the life out of the team and fans.  Why not keep driving and if necessary, give Gano a 26yd field goal with no time vs. 46 with an eternity left on the clock.

The HC position is too big for Rivera.  Hence, the confused, deer in the headlights look and bad decisions.

Posted by tailg8or on 12 November 2014 - 03:13 PM

Only saw 1 Alabama game (LSU) and Cooper looked like LaFell. However, i will take your word.

I dont see the Panthers going anywhere but OT in rd 1. Flowers may creep into rd 1 and if Collins is gone too, we are into tier 2 and simply cannot afford to take that risk, given we need 2 OTs. In rd 1, we go best player available .... at OT. Would love to see Green drop to us in the third.

#3084248 It's becoming very clear to me

Posted by tailg8or on 12 November 2014 - 02:35 PM

LUUUUUKE, you are assuming that our front office actually has a plan that is working.  You're giving them way more credit than they deserve.  Their plan was ... well ... already on the roster and only the homers bought into it.  What's clear is that their plan blew up and once again we question ... what were they thinking?

#3081353 SIR: Did anyone else catch the after halftime report that Rivera "didn...

Posted by tailg8or on 11 November 2014 - 11:07 AM

I did Caveman and that speaks volumes.  Being the HC is too big for Rivera.

#3072788 Was just given some suite tickets

Posted by tailg8or on 08 November 2014 - 10:33 AM

You'll have a good time CP!  Are you in an actual suite or did you get club level tickets?  Suites are nice because you get food, drink, a bathroom and usually a visit from topcats.  However, you are stuck in a small room with your group so a lot of it depends on the group you are with.  Club seats are great.  Great view of the game and better drink / food selections with smaller lines.

#3047948 Its in the Feet

Posted by tailg8or on 27 October 2014 - 07:23 AM

brace yourself because you're not allowed to speak about cam in this way around here.

LOL ... don't worry about that.  Zod usually gets a pass from the blind homerism.

Great pics and insight as usual Jeremy.  Agree 100%.  You can see it on Cam's face after the plays.  Honestly, I am more impressed with Cam lately than ever before.  He is constantly under pursuit and taking a ton of hits .... yet keeps his eyes downfield without getting too rattled.  He still makes some bad throws but given what he has protecting him,  can't blame him too much.

I attribute the INT to his wanting to win and feeling like he needs to make every play.  If he had more confidence in his O-line, I doubt he feels so desperate to make every play .... and would have tucked that ball.

On another note, do you know if Bell got benched on the last play?  In anticipation of a sack, I was watching the left side but didn't see him there.

#3031516 the official "Dave Gettleman fuging sucks" thread

Posted by tailg8or on 19 October 2014 - 07:49 PM

All im saying is its pretty easy to rush the passer when you know its a run play. Its also not Gettlemans fault both our OGs are injured

Agree, when your down by 30 points (LOL), the d-line can pin their ears back.  Even tougher when you are playing against a defensive guru like Capers.  I don't think it was any better before our OGs got hurt though.

Unfortunately, we have a combination of inadequate personnel and Shula as our coordinator.

Yes!  Finally .... I was beginning to wonder if you changed sides with all the Kuechly photos.

#3002480 Panther fans!

Posted by tailg8or on 06 October 2014 - 10:32 AM

Crowd noise was pretty typical for BOA, loud at times.  Good news is that we didn't let the Bears chants get going.

Turnout for the Bears was similar to Steelers.  Of all the teams that travel well, I like Bears' fans.  Hardcore, salt of the earth types that like to party, love their team, have fun tailgating and all hold their breath waiting for Cutler to make mistakes.  BOA may have set a record for beer sales at a 1:00 game.
