I know Landry doesn't drop balls.  That is a dramatic improvement over our receivers last year.

For the record... I was against Keenan Allen when the choice was DT or Keenan Allen.     Just like this year if a top range OT drops to 28th I would be hard pressed to suggest a WR over him.

2 TE sets are nice because they keep defenses balanced.  You don't get as much overloading to the left or right side because you just audible to the weaker side.  It was very effective for us Cam's rookie year because we ran the read out of the 2 TE offense.  Which put even more pressure on the defense to stay disciplined.   The drawback is if your TE isn't a threat.  If somehow someway we can get an effective run game, it would be awesome.

Don't hold your breaths for a discount.  Especially since we just picked up the 5th year option.

Cutting him June 1 causes a $4m hit ($3.2m signing bonus + $800k restructure bonus) which saves $2m.

As for next year you're not figuring in the $1m option bonus he's due next off-season that - assuming he's cut - he'll never see.

So, instead of a $300k loss next year it's actually a $700k gain. Either way, not sure you find a suitable replacement for the amount saved.

So basically it would cost us 3 million dollars over the next 2 years to keep him.............

In Topic: Trade Up For MIKE EVANS?

those guys make more sense, but not close to being worth two firsts and that second.

Neither is Evans... that was my point.  At least it was understandable for a LT.
