Did I join the Pats Huddle?

Just talked to Gettlemen, he's going start polling the CH to decide on which FA to pick up.

He goes by Gspot molly on the board...

not worried, like most huddlers, he has potential and will get coached up. I hope he kicks some butt against the "vaulted "special teams of the Bengals...we're  freakin 5 games into the season, it isn't like the Panther's have had a great return game in the past.

now RB's would be an issue...

I have ESPN moving down 10 spots to #20...mostly for having Ray Lewis still on staff.

we are going to beat last years ave yards in passing with a more experienced D...what's the big surprise?

sure we need to run more effectively but WTF?

I think we will surprised by our passing after the 1st quarter. Lots of short quick routes for over 250 total yards...Gano misses a field goal but the defense gets a turnover in the 4th to secure a win.

Panthers 24-17

yep...we will have a 10-6 season, no doubt about it.

If you think about it, DA has more reps with the receivers and if we are really going to run you wouldn't need your 1st string QB. But I guess DA starts out and if he doesn't have it, maybe bring in Newton.

I still think we are going to put up over 250 yards in the air and like Zod, have a pretty easy time putting 24 points on the board.

#2890047 Playing Smith in Baltimore

Smitty will get in fight with himself and pull a muscle....

and then retire a Panther...

just this...

I respect smitty, but this is a receiver core that is a team...and Cam is the leader, it will pay off...

#2809727 Receivers Wide Open

I really planned not post this summer as the Huddle tries, with all its might, to understand what happened this off season. Sure the OL is a concern but I was more concerned about the skill positions and to be honest, our WR core last year sucked, and sucked bad.

I am a fan of Smith but man what a head case, still fighting for respect on the field and in the locker room. I love his motor but not his leadership...

Newton and the running game deserves a a sure handed and young WR group, and that's what we have...with a cohesive leadership from JerCrot and willingness to listen to coaching and work with Newton.

Two games last year pissed me off, the Seahawks/49ers...we won the defensive game but couldn't score and that needs to improve...and I look forward to a group of guys that will CATCH the ball in traffic and have disciplined route running. Ricky will teach route running and Newton will know where these guys break off routes...and we have a pretty good TE core too.

GMAN/Riverboat football sounds good to me...We improved in the off season as far as a TEAM and that's what counts. So I'm not going to bitch about the tight cap or the off season FA's, I like the direction we are taking and look forward to beating the West with a balanced offensive attack and Tenacious D ...

#2789034 NFL Stadium Seating - Endzone

Posted by AviationMX on 15 May 2014 - 07:17 PM

we had second row end zone at BOA for a couple of years now. when the plays are in you end of the station, it's incredible...I'll miss Smitty's jawing the whole game. But when it's the opposite, it sucks. like someone said, you can't tell first downs...so it's like watching half a game.

so it depends what you want to do...get in the players ears and hear the carnage or watch a game. we will probably move up and and out of the endzone next year...but it was damn fun.

#2718007 Ron Rivera: Panthers may not need number 1 WR in 2014

Posted by AviationMX on 27 March 2014 - 07:41 AM

Frankly, i don't give a fug about a #1 WR, it isn't like SS was one over the last couple of years and 12-4 wasn't a bad record for a bottom feeding offense.

But we will need a OL to run and that seems to much easier to get in the short term. But all this crying over having a top receiving core really is just fans wanting a high powered offense to watch. That will take two years or longer, WR are pricey and guess what...we ain't got nothing to spend.

I have as much fun watching us executing a great defense as scoring points and if we can score some OL in the draft and add another big bodied slot receiver, I would be happy. Stuff them defensively and run the living crap out of the ball...and still have a better receiving core than last year...

I trust the coach and the GM, it's time for long term fixes and to be a contender every year...not every four.

really? try this ...maybe cutting SS was a move to give Newton more control of the locker room
