Greg Hardy | FA

(March 16, 2015 3:03 PM EDT)

Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports there's "nothing imminent" between the Cowboys and free agent Greg Hardy.

However, the Cowboys appear to very much be looking into the ex-Panther. NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini reports the Cowboys have "talked to Hardy's old coaches to learn more about his character," and have so far "(liked) what they've (heard)." The Cowboys need a pass rusher to pair with second-year pro Demarcus Lawrence, and Hardy would offer mammoth upside at what should be a discount price.

I found the part about the Cowboys asking old coaches about Hardys character and "coming away liking what they hear" pretty interesting.. Now it doesn't say Panthers coaches but you would assume that is who they reached out to. More proof it's JR/Gettleman not wanting him back than the coaches and team.

Indiana RB Tevin Coleman will visit the Ravens, Panthers and Cardinals, according to Aaron Wilson.

This is in addition to Coleman already visiting the Lions. These visits might be influenced by Coleman's foot surgery he underwent just before the Combine. Teams want an updated medical check, which they will also get on a second visit to Indianapolis. Obviously many like Coleman's talents, but we think he is a tier behind the chunk of secondary running backs in this deep class. Coleman will work out for teams on April 15. Mar 16 - 10:34 AM

"Since then, we – both media and fans – have taken that line and run with it. What we too quickly forgot was Gettleman’s next line: “I said we’re going to move up in class. I didn’t say we’re going to go out and spend big money on a player.”

So, everybody sit back and relax.

To be fair, Gettleman didn't say that we are NOT going to go out and spend big money on a player..
