#2378297 Rivera Needs To Be Fired Tonight

I don't think I have ever seen a thread on this forum where EVERYONE is in agreement like this.  Get rid of this guy now!

Anybody know the names of any of the guys that "took OBL down"? Just curious because it's probably just a matter of time before some of our most bravest warriors will be disposed of, in their sleep, or by some friendly fire. I guess the beauty of it all for the US Gov't is that their names probably have to stay classified?

Well, I guess I wasn't too far off. Just put them in the sitting duck, I mean Chinook, and throw them into an extremely hostile area..

LIONS for lambs.

Rally to the cause? See thats the problem. We might both rally to the cause, but one person's cause might be completely different from another's. My cause, or the one thing I would like to see the government do is for both sides to come down off their high horse and start to slowly fix the budget issues with a combination of across the board spending cuts and tax hikes. And then once they finally get it balanced, take steps to ensure that it stays balanced. But considering that it requires a majority of the 535 reps and senators (each of whom are unique individuals with their own beliefs) to agree, and both sides seem to be obsessed with not agreeing, that seems unlikely.

The rallying to the cause isn't the problem. People would do it if they woke up and realized that today's "government" is all just smoke and mirrors. In fact, reality-tv is probably more "real" than our "government". It absolutely boggles my mind that people CONTINUE to think there is any difference between Bush & Obama as Presidents.

Media has people glued to the wrong issues, and it continues to work.

And to think that an honest vote could actually take place in this day in age when corruption is so widespread is quite naive.

Regardless of the fact that you may have been correct, you have no idea about my ability to get laid. Plus you got personal... my posting ability is fair game, my sex life, or lack thereof, is not.

My apologies, I didn't know you were so sensitive. Had I known, I would have used that instead.

#1182655 Osama bin Laden: DEAD!

Posted by RockECU on 02 May 2011 - 10:07 PM

Thats a ridiculous comment. The man was evil, and now he is dead. Its worth celebrating. Certainly doesn't mean an end to anything, but there is one less evil person in the world.

As Mark Twain said (paraphrasing) I never wish anyone dead, but there are some obituaries that I shall enjoy reading.

Ridiculous? Celebrating the killing of one individual while thousands upon thousands died in the attempt to kill him over a span of 10 years is what is ridiculous. Does killing this guy bring any of who died in the original attacks or those who have attempted to bring him to justice back to life? No. How many innocent people had to die for this to happen? Will hatred for Americans lessen now that he is dead? No, it intensifies it. How many more will pop up in his place? To think that things will get better after this event is an extremely short-sighted viewpoint.

As Martin Luther King Jr said: "I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

Hate is winning right now.

Such a sad day for the USA, and thus, the world. We haven't evolved, for the better, one bit.

Why don't you guys name some of these evil corporations that rape and pillage? Because I've never had one reach into my pocket and take anything without my consent. Not like the government can and does.

If you've ever filled up your car with a tank of gas you have... Rape and pillage your wallet anyway.

#938345 Another 9/11 thread... My view explained simply...

Posted by RockECU on 23 December 2010 - 04:37 PM

First of all, where in the HE double hockey sticks was the OP and all of you posters in this topic when we discussed this in another topic, not even more than 2-3 weeks ago??? We are literally discussing the EXACT same thing.

My biggest question for all conspiracy theories: If it is a hoax, what is the end-game? What does this ultimately accomplish? Specific targets within the Pentagon? False pretense to invade Oil-bearing country, increase military spending, etc...? There are so many other ways to go about this that are much simpler. Why try such a huge thing?

Research the Project for the New American Century... Notice dates. I'll get you started with a wikipedia link, and you can branch out from there. Make sure you've got some popcorn for when you sit down and research this one!!

Once you're done researching that, think of everything that has been implemented since 9/11. A few of which should come to mind immediately:
Afghanistan / Iraqi Wars / Military Spending
Patriot Act
Homeland Security Department

Also, face it, if they release security cam footage, the goalposts will be moved again.

...Ah yes, "moving the goalposts", the 2010-2011 catchphrase of the year returns!! I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw it again.

#936119 The End of America

Well if it is important for him to "establish his credentials", then it is equally important to point out that he has been fined over $1 million for his involvement in fraud.

...Which makes him equally qualified if not moreso for Ben Bernanke's position.... But that is is beside the point..

What this guy has said, has been said 10x over by others who are NOT peddling anything, and to be honest, is quite obvious considering our countries current circumstances.

BTW - this "moving goalposts", is apparently the new catchphrase for 2010-2011 Carolina Huddle and it's absurd. It's lazy speak for what people do on a message board such as this, debate. And for those who don't want to put any effort into their response.

So what if our owner doesn't care? That doesn't mean we need to.. I'm not trying to say anything bad about you or that your not a fan but no one likes the fairweather fan crap. I'm going to cheer and be loyal to my team if were 0-16 or 16-0

Did you even read what you posted? You're not trying to say anything bad about anybody but then you call people fair weather fans? We can barely get a snap off. This isn't professional football. I'd rather replacements play.

Not to mention, unsold ticket prices REMAIN the same despite our record. That is complete BS.

Save us all your holier than though super fan fandom.

#920227 Is testing if we can alter morality really necessary? This is scary.

Posted by RockECU on 13 December 2010 - 12:20 AM

Scientists have shown they can change people's moral judgements by disrupting a specific area of the brain with magnetic pulses.

The researchers subjected 20 volunteers to a number of tests designed to assess their notions of right and wrong.

In one scenario participants were asked how acceptable it was for a man to let his girlfriend walk across a bridge he knew to be unsafe.

Full article.

This is a scary study in my opinion. Thoughts?

I guess if it were to be used on politicians and those working for the FED though the USA would be better off because their morals are definitely out of whack.
