Always showed loyalty to the team and city. However, like all family pets the time comes to put them down for their benefit.I feel the decision was the best possible move for Jake and the Panthers. Jake has a chance to compete for a starting job at another team and we have a new family pet. Jake just fell into the scenario of being James Bond for a few seasons and then fell from grace and became Elmer Fudd. Hopefully he can be James Bond again. Good Luck Jake. When he was hot he was as good as anyone. I met him before and he seemed to be a truly nice guy who had the heart and desire. If they did go the Coordinator route it would be for someone like Leslie Frazior(Vikings DC) or Mike Zimmer(Bengals DC) or Morningweg(Eagles OC) all of these guys were canidates for a Head Coaching job last year and at least 2 of these guys will be hired this year for a Top Spot.
