I like the show and it's getting better as it goes but damn I just got to say that I hate Sookie. She is quite possibly the most annoying character I watch on TV and I watch a lot of shows.

Yeah that is a good guess. I saw the scars also and I think she whispered in his ear "i know what you are" or something like that.

Did you see the people at the party their eyes were turning all black...

But the scars don't make any sense with how the attack's effect was described. The waitress should be dead.

Meh, after the first season I've given up on speculating on this show. Whatever mysteries pop up will just come out of left field.

I think Dr. Ludwig was just guessing about the effects. She compared it to a komodo dragon because she had never seen it before. My guess is that the scratch changes the person into that creature if it doesn't kill them. I think that's why Sookie couldn't handle vampire blood at the same time. Who knows though, I'm too interested in Jessica.
