The lead lap cars get to pit before the lapped cars, already. I dont think it will be that much different.

Lapped cars will be given the option to stay out and get a lap back???? Will make pit strategy paramount if you start out with a bad day..i.e Jeff gordon at Dover

My understanding is that the lucky dog will be the last car on the lead lap when the race restarts.

Didn't make the race a bit more interesting. But then, I didn't expect it to at Pocono, or Michigan, or California, or Vegas, or Kansas City, or Chicago. But I do think it will make races at the smaller tracks more interesting.

Too bad there aren't more short tracks on the schedule.

That being said, this wasn't the ideal race to introduce the shootout-style restart. In fact, most of the races coming ahead aren't going to be ideal for the shootout style restart.

(Makes me think that's why TNT is covering these races, because they're crap and no one else wanted to cover them)

And I'd like to go on record that TNT's broadcast STILL sucks balls in comparison to FOX and ESPN. Boo hiss. I find it odd to say that Kyle Petty is the only bright spot to their broadcast

You've got to be kidding. FOX over TNT, certainly (except for the first part of the decade with the Bestwick/Dallenbach/Parsons combo with NBC, they were great) but ABC/ESPN is utter, horrible crap. Makes Nationwide races virtually unwatchable.
