Yep, those two are very knowledgeable. I pretty much agree with the rest of what you said too. I find it odd that a defensive guy like Wilcots would have the stance he did.

Starting DE > situational RB/slot WR

It's getting pretty tiring with all these Saints bozos fishing for compliments and respect for Bush from their division rivals. We're never gonna like him as long as he plays with the Saints, and as long as he underachieves every season (whether from performance on the field or due to injury) we won't give him any props either. Brees, yes. Colston if he has another year like his first two. But Reggie has done nothing to warrant anyone's respect or admiration, and we're your rivals to boot. Give it a rest.

Keyshawn needs to get a job in construction...

He basically said Bush was the better pick because he's on a better team. I don't know much about the Texans but if they had a 23rd ranked D then what would it look like without Williams? It's not Williams' fault that they didn't build a good defense around him. No matter how athletic Bush is a top 5 DE is much more valuable than a tweener RB/WR. Bush certainly contributed to their playoff run but it was Brees that made the most impact on that team.

Wilcot's arguement is about as relevant and accruate as Jamie Duke;s statement that he would take Vick to lead a team. Two washed up idiots tryingto justify their jobs.

Wilcots is still defending Vick. I think Wilcots is over- rated....mostly by Wilcots.

Reggie's pretty much busted purely as a running back, but he's been excellent as a receiver and also a return specialist.

Wilcots being a fuging moron does not discount the fact that between the two it's pretty much been a push at best.

So you're the second person in this thread who complained because I mentioned a player from a team other than the Panthers in the NFC South forum. I'll admit, I know nothing about the Panthers except what I get from Sirius radio, read in this forum (some news but mostly opinions) and video highlights and/or my very limited chances to watch them here from my apartment in Fort Worth, Texas. Therefore, I have very little to say about the Panthers.

It's the slow time of the year so I brought up what I thought was a very interesting take on a player from my fave team. Every thread here pretty much does the same. To me its just fun to see what fans of teams say in response and it's even better if a good debate arises.
And no, I was not fishing for a compliment for Bush. I posted this same thread in another Saints board. For the record, most of the responses I got were that both teams got good players to help their team and we shouldn't compare the two, although there was some interesting debate.

No one should have ever put him in the category of pure running back. It's the same as putting him at TE or offensive tackle.
