Okay, so lets not count the years we did bad either. Let's drop the 8-20 year. That's stupid. Shush. As for UK becoming a powerhouse after UNC, We have 4 of our 6 titles since 1980. UK has 2. UK has 5 before that time frame.

Yeah SEC basketball does suck compared to the ACC. Okay since 1990 the SEC has 5 and the ACC has 7 national titles. Also conference strength is not solely based on national titles. Duke year in year out is better competition than anybody in the SEC. As is WF in most years. As is NCSU, as is every team in the ACC. Top to bottom since the ACC's existence has been FAR superior in every aspect of basketball better than the SEC.

Since the inception of the ACC the ACC has 11 national titles and the SEC has 7. 4 by Kentucky (further proving that by and large that the SEC has been a one horse race for the majority of the time)

Just because other teams have it all come together one year does not a conference make. Teams consistently being good makes a conference. You find that in the ACC. SEC? Not so much.

Since the early 80s, the following SEC teams have made the Final Four...Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Georgia, and Mississippi State. Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn have all made the Elite Eight. All three lost to the eventual national champ when they did.

Okay? 8 of 12 ACC schools have made the final four. ACC>SEC and it's not even close. The level of competition is far greater. To argue this is absurd.

There is a much bigger disparity between the two leagues in football than there is in basketball. If Duke and UNC didn't have Vitale and Packer recruiting for them every time they went on the air, the SEC would probably have passed you in basketball by now.

I would say definitely with the lax standards with regard to academics and the accepted way that cheating is expected, you are probably right.

Ummmm, not sure what "numbers" your referring to since the "origin" of this debate was why Roy didn't attempt to recruit John Wall. Please explain.

And yes the ACC is far better than the SEC and the Tar Heels are the current standard in college basketball, Period.
