* Five more of UNC's wins have come over very subpar UK teams, 62-63, 64-65, 66-67, 73-74, and last year.

* Two more of UNC's victories came over UK teams on probation (in 1989-90 and in 1990-91).

* UNC has played just ONE of UK's Final Four teams (in 1974-75). Kentucky won this game. Off the top of my head, UK played UNC Final Four teams in 1977, 1982, 1995, 2005, 2008 and 2009.
Don't know if one of those Carolina teams in the 60s made it.

To be fair, UK played UNC in the Elite Eight twice recently and UNC won. But let's look at how....

1977: UNC gets a lead in the second half and goes into the Four Corners offense run by Phil Ford. For you young UNC fans, this tactic is a huge reason why a lot of old timers like me can't stand UNC in the first place. You know those great comebacks UNC prides itself on? Wouldn't be possible if other teams sat out and passed the ball five minutes at a time. UK WINS THE TITLE THE NEXT YEAR.

1995: UK is leading 12-5 when Andre Riddick, tired of Rasheed Wallace's multiple elbows, pushes back. Walter McCarty, UK's best mismatch (he was guarded by Dante Calabria), is somehow given a technical foul even though he isn't involved in the fracas whatsoever. This after refs look at the replay for several minutes. Before long it's 13-12 UNC and the Tarholes never relinquish the lead. All of you UNC fans complaining about Demarcus Cousins need to look for Rasheed Wallace and Andre Riddick on youtube. Wallace should have been ejected from that game AND the following game versus Arkansas. UK WINS THE TITLE THE NEXT YEAR.

I am not a UNC fan, but the four corners was a tactic, and a good one at that. Don't like it, don't fall behind.

Even though it wouldn't take very much time since there is only 11 of them, I'm still not going to look them all up. Off the top my head, if we're somehow discrediting wins that occured while the losing team was in down years, UK loses at least two for 01-02 and this season. That leaves you with a whopping 9 and according to your #'s UNC has 17

Guess what, still dominating you.

If we had played every year since the series started, UK would be up 10 wins in this series. Easily. And you suck dog titties.

If UK were in the ACC, they wouldn't have so many NCAA titles. Especially considering that before 1975 or so you had to win your conference to get to the tourney. UK would only have about 3 titles.

Oh please. The ACC is the most overrated conference in basketball and has been for 30 years.

Think they have ten titles in that thirty year span so I don't think I can agree with ya on this one...

I think the past 30 years have been the best for the ACC...he should've went with the 40's and 50's.

The ACC has been the best basketball conference in that time frame, but they haven't been as dominant as, say...SEC football. Kentucky has won the SEC more than all of the other teams combined, and SEC teams are not slouches. Pick a school and I can name four or five really good teams that school had.

The SEC has five titles in the last 30 years...not bad considering they also have like 14 in football over the same period. To say that Kentucky wouldn't have seven titles if they were in the ACC is wrong. Hell, Kentucky should have 10 titles. They had an undefeated team that got screwed over by the NCAA. They had a big lead over UCLA in Wooden's last game when the old man stormed on the court (without getting a technical) and the Cats didn't see a friendly whistle the rest of the game. They were outshot 41-17 at the free throw line when they lost to Arizona in overtime.
