Production manning had a better 2006, 2007, brees had a better 2008, 2009
I did rating, tds, and yards. I think they're pretty close on ints and completion percentage but didn't look, i think brees is better in those two. Super Bowl MVP equal leauge MVP manning has two i don't think brees has any. In retrospect he probably should have won this year. Actually losing games he didn't sit out probably is what lost it for brees. Brees set leauge records twice in four years i don't think manning did, although manning holds a ton of records. Some of the records he set during those four years were mostly streaks he had going for a while. 4 probowls for manning where he started everytime, 3 pro bowls for brees he started twice. I don't really agree with this type of comparison though, to me as soo as you make it into the NFL is when the comparison starts. You can't pick and choose their best seasons. Deangelo Williams could be the best RB in the NFL but i don't think he deserves the title until he makes up for his first two years which were average. He's not better than Manning, but you could make a case for him being better than every other QB in the league.
